So.. are you like others or most of the people i see active in facebook? Do you find it very easy to post updates in their facebook account for everyone to see? Or are you like me.. who.. well thinks very hard all the time just to be able to update my facebook account?
haha
i am not just the type of person who would post everything i do in a social networking site, so that is why maybe i find it hard to post something or share something. unlike others who does not mind to share or even tell people they are eating this and that... i just find it rather too unnecessary.
what is your opinion on this?

I don't really think about updating my status. I just...do. I mainly update if it's something entertaining that happened, or if I think I'm being witty, but I'm not one of those people who posts something just to have a new post. I like to entertain people, so I post something entertaining, if that makes sense. I usually only update 3-4 times a day.

Either do I. I don't use facebook everyday. Most of my friends post useless things in facebook and then commented by others by useless thing as well. I am not be able like others who share many photos very time. I just use facebook to find problem solving about computer application because there is a group related with computer application I used in facebook.

Personally I have often wondered about some people in there as they will post anything on there and not care about what is posted and who sees it, and what type of responses they might get. I am a lot more quieter in there than I am in here due to the fact you never know when something there could be used against you. So even with all my Medical issues right now, I have posted I need Prayer, but not bothering to share unless it is in private with someone as well.

yes, just because almost all of my friends and family are using facebook. Since the role of social networking websites such as facebook and myspace plays in my life is to bridge gaps, communication and to update me, my friends and family on what's happening to our life.
Before i always use friendster but since most of the people i know shifted to facebook i just joined the bandwagon and started using it as well.

I have just started using facebook and I find the site very interesting. I suppose it can be looked upon as an online journal, you can post whatever you want about your life and what you get up to and you can also remove any post that you have added and you are not that comfortable with. The toothpaste I use is colgate but I don't feel it necessary to share that kind of information although a lot of people do share all kinds of different information about their own lives.
If you lead a very busy life then you have all kinds of things to share. I don't have a very busy life and in fact my life tends to border on the quiet side a lot of the time. I do enjoy writing in an online journal and so I suppose I share my journal with others although I am very careful about what I write about as I believe that everyone is entitled to some element of privacy. One thing I am definitely keen on in facebook is one of the games called CityVille. I enjoy this game and a lot of my friends on facebook also enjoy playing this game. overall I'm pretty chuffed with facebook and will continue to use it as long as I am alive and facebook continues to exist. I am also not who some one who posts everything on facebook and twitter. I don't give it that much of a thought either. If there is something that I feel like sharing in public, I update my status to it. Usually my status remains the same for months! At times, I also post few catchy lines, just to make it more interesting and attract more eyes.

I only everytime I feel like posting a status or whatever it is that is in my mind at the moment. I don't update it everyday nor update it every hour or every 12 hours. I don't think it is normal to update our facebook status every hour although I can really see other doing it. Sometimes I feel they are only showing off and think that they wish others to envy them for what they are currently doing.

I find it silly to over use the status feature, why don't people write they are moving left and right and left leg when they are walking to school. I wouldn't say it's really hard for me to write updates on fb but i do think a little before i post them and only post when i have something reasonable to share say a funny youtube clip or something about me that i want to share.

I don't always update my status on facebook every time I login to my account. I am not the type of person who always make shout-outs so that everybody will know what is currently happening or what I am currently feeling. I only read other friend's status and sometimes comment on them.

I am quite similar to you. I am the kind of person who wants to keep something secret and not telling everything to my friends or facebook friends. So I usually do two things. One, I have divided my friends into different groups on facebook, then I make use of the facebook privacy setting, and decide which of my friends can see all or part of the stuff on my facebook. Second things I usually do is to update the status and upload some photos which do not completely expose my privacy to the public. What I mean is, for the photos, they are usually related to the stuff I saw in my daily life, not including the faces of my family members or friends; for the status, just share what you are willing to share to others. It may not be related to your ture feeling, but you can share your experience or some point of views about different issues. Yes, updating facebook is unnecessary, you don't need to force yourself to update your facebook just because your friends are doing something like this. So do what you want is ok.
