Why do you come to myLot even if doesn't pay much?

I was trying to compute how much average earnings I would get if I answered replied in 50 discussions and found out myLot is not paying much but I still feel I'm still addicted to contributing to myLot. I used to go to Yahoo Answers but not anymore. As for me the earnings is just secondary, like its a little token if you like. But "knowledge is power". This is better than money. You go everywhere with the knowledge you got from myLot. So now, I don't try too much to get that 50 replies that I was planning before. I just let it go and be what I can. If a make 50 then well and good. If not, I still got the knowledge and in return I also did a bit social responsibility in sharing what I learn.

For me, myLot has become much like an information hub. I can see a lot happening in here, a lot of opinions and a lot of cool interaction. It really is learning while earning. The earnings part is just a bonus. Socializing and interaction with others is part of the human nature. So any form of doing such is a good thing even if it doesn't pay much.

Hi AG! You have also realised that, because myLot is a discussion site, we will increase our earnings by discussing, right? This is osmething that our friend seems not to have understood yet.

One reason I am still here in myLot is that I learn a lot from this community. here by reading post and comments, I get information on different sites that most of the time lead to some earning experiences. Here in myLot I got my first opportunity to write articles and I am very thankful for my myLot community friends. I will always stay here as long as myLot exists. By the way ,my first online earning came from myLot.

Sad that you were not aware that if you had logged in every three months, even without posting, you would not have lost your accumulated earnings

I could have same score as you Edna but I stopped sometime 2008 when mom got sick. I forgot about myLot, and so my past earnings got deleted as what was agreed before I joined myLot. Now my mom is well I came back yesterday only after I stumbled upon it again when I tried to clean up my inbox. Good thing myLot is still here. This proves that myLot is not a fly-by-night type. I hope I can do online earning soon from myLot too.

Mylot holds a special place in my heart because this is my first online earning site ever actually. It is also from this site that I got to know other earning sites Yes, it does not pay much but it offers various opportunities to earn and besides it is so user-friendly and most of all, it does not cheat. It is 100% legitimate.

To me the earnings on MyLot is secondary. As you said it is a nice side benefit but not the sole purpose of this site. I don't think about it at all. I also have learned a lot! I like reading about different cultures and how people from other cultures feel about things.

Hi,karagala! Yeah, knowledge is one thing.People here are always so helpful that we can get the answers we are looking for most of the time. And I really like this feature of Mylot. The other,I think,is the people here.I have been fortunate enough to get to know some of the most unique personalities here and I really miss these guys when I was preparing for the finals these several weeks. Mylot doesn't really pay much, but it doesn't matter to me.I can get some pocket money and I can get to know more people. It's already good enough for me. Have a nice day!

Hi babyanna! Maybe you have not yet realised that if you spend your time commenting and furthering the topic, both on the discussions that you start and on your responses, you will see your eanings increase? MyLot is not about posting lots of responses but about stopping in just a few places each day and discussing.

Welcome back gvenrose! If you realise that you only earn for your own activity and that myLot is for discussions, and not for questions and answers, you will soon see your earnings increase. You can also use the search for added random rewards: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq24.aspx

I come to mylot to get information. Mylot is a great source for information. Many of the money making sites that I currently use I found because other members of mylot recommended them to me. I know that Mylot does not make us a lot of money by posting but it has made me a lot of money since I now know of so many other sites to make money online with. I also love the people here since most are really kind.

Yep because there's not swearing here. Me too, I read here about good and legit freelancing websites. We can't earn directly from myLot but the the information we get from myLot helps us in making money.

We CAN earn directly from myLot, and many of us do. We reach minimum and much more every single month. How? By discussing, adding ocmments to the responses and furthering the topic, just like myLot tell us to do in the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14

You can learn some very useful things from the members of myLot - you can also make good friendships. That is mostly why I am still here. Most of my myLot friends I meet on another website now, one that doesn't pay, but there are still some friends here that I would lose contact with if I left. 50 replies is ambitious; I have had over 100 several times but that was in the old days. Now I don't post discussions and content myself with replying to ones like this. Happy myLotting.

MyLot is a site where I fill my spare time. When I do not have a job,or I can not sleep at night, I passed time with logging in Mylot. I want to fill time with something useful. Before i knew Mylot, I fill my spare time by playing games. I felt my time is wasted by playing games, and no benefits that I can. By filling spare time with MyLot, my spare time becomes more meaningful.

Hi Karagala~ This remind me the first time I was here. The money we earn is my first target that time. I don't know what to do and try to post a discussions. Somehow I found that we could get more than that and that' how the excitement and joy came from. Day after day I forgot about the payment and just enjoying responding and commenting pther discussions. I learn a lot and friendship everywhere~ where I could find such a warm and fun forum like Mylot?? I have tried others but tey can't beat this site at all~ I think it is because I am pleased and happy with the feature and environment we have here in Mylot. Unlike other forums which seems boring and static here in Mylot we can have an active interaction between each other.

I come to mylot because it is so fascinating, interesting and fun. I can start a discussion on almost anything. I can find answers to questions. So I guess I should also add that mylot is informative. I also enjoy reading the discussions and responses of other people. Plus, I do hope to make a little bit of money by being on mylot. The money is good frosting on the cake. I wish that mylot would pay a little more or that cashout was a little lower. But .... I like it a lot.

I like Mylot because I have met a lot of great and supportive people on here. I think the money is a bonus. It's something fun to do and relieves a lot of stress when you have tons of people to talk to! =)

I don'g agree with Karagala, I join it for 2 purposes: one is that i can earn a little ,on the other hand, I can also learn to express myself more clearly and practise writing in English and exchange ideas with many friends in English.

I only mylot from my office. Since I do not have a computer at home am not able to put in much time on this site. But am still here because like many others here I am addicted to this site. This is a clean site where we can take part in a lot of healthy discussions. I have not made it to the minimum payout for more than a year now surprisingly!!!!

I come to mylot to get information. Mylot is a great source for information as well as find out about different legitamite websites that are paying a lot more than we earn here at mylot. But the difference for me is the fact that I enjoy sharing with people. The more I share with them, the more potential money I earn as a result of my sharing. Many of the sites that I currently use in my profile I found because other members of mylot recommended them to me, or I found out about them because of the truly great friendships I have gained here at mylot and other social networks that I'm apart of. This is what true networking is all about. So for me, I don't contribute as much as I used to. But I also, don't seek to earn a payout monthly with mylot. I did that for 4 months straight and found it be rewarding, challenging, and yet TOO time consuming. So I'll chime in when I know I have something worthwhile to contribute to the mylot daily digest. I'll even start a new discussion or two, but those are few and in between. Congrats on getting featured in the daily mylot discussions!

Its just a neat place to be and, for the most part, the folks you come across here are a good group..Sometimes a bit of cutting up and carryin' on. Other times a fountain of information. Or a hug when you need it. Or someone comes lookin' for the same. You may come for the money but you stay for the company. Enjoy!

I like to much my lot community. I find here some good friends. Earning is no so important but it is also motivate us to active here. If we active here we can know about another sites from which we can earn. Here after some time we can promote our sites. Mylot is best one with in these type of sites.

I have recently joined my lot but i am loving it and i think one must have fun and enjoyment on this site as we tend to learn so many things from this site and earning money is a secondary thing.
