I have three children - 21, 17 aand 7 and every year we go to a Christmas tree farm the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's usually quite cold, so we're bundled in layers, and walk through the lines of trees until we all agree that we've found the perfect one. With the manual saw, we try to cut the tree ourselves, but always end up walking back to the farm house and requesting assistance. We bring the cut tree to the farm house where it's secured and tied to the roof of our car and then head to the nearest fast food place that serves hot chocolate. We sing Carols and laugh the entire time - and it's probably one of the best days of the holiday season! What do you enjoy doing?

That sounds fantastic! I wish we did something like that. This will be our last north Christmas for a bit. We are moving to Florida after the holidays. I use to live there and one Christmas it was 90 degrees out, kind of takes from the holiday feeling. Maybe we will start a tradition of decorating a palm tree :)

Might be the best time to start a tradition - and decorating a palm tree sounds like fun! Maybe you can add something from the north to make it seem more new engladish - but at least you'll be warm!
