I have to have XP for work, but some of our other computers run Red Hat or Gentoo. (Husband is a network engineer;)

Would you try linux family operating system?
I think linux is not really GUI oriented, so it's would easy to used for new user. like Ubuntu. try it... if free.

i have been using windows XP professional edition with SP 2 for a long time now. am completely satisfied with it.

Yes,since old fasion,many program and hardware are really support to microsoft. so the Windows Xp so Experience, he he he he. but do you think Linux family is good too? Had you try Ubuntu?

Im using dual OS on my PC.
1. Windows XP SP 1
2.Debian variant,named UBUNTU 5.1 (it's easy to use)
My Server in office using SLACKWARE, old generation of linux. It's easy to use too. Familiar with Slackware indicate u'll familiar using another varian Linux distro

they said mac OSX is good for graphic design.

Well im running dual bios sytem off this pc , i have linux on one and windows xp professional on the other , i use it for my old work , but now ishut one down so only windows yup atm

I am using Windows XP Professional edition. I would like to use Red Hat linux. But I think XP is the best OS ever.
