I think he did have some good ideas, but he couldn't execute them properly. He is doing a decent job, given the circumstances. But yes, America did not want to look racist. And I know many people who voted for him just because he was black. I myself don't vote. I don't think one vote would ever amount to anything. And I still haven't come across a candidate I would back completely. I bet next election we vote in a woman though. Can't look sexist either...

Ha ha yeah that would be awesome. Or there would be that one person who casts a vote and picks the president. But they said the past one had the biggest voter turnout in history(i think, I might be wrong) so I'm just wondering how many will show up this time. Will it be more to get Obama out of office? Or less because the country can't really get any worse? I'm still not voting, and my parents who vote every year decided to sit this one out too. They said they haven't seen a candidate they like yet for this term so whatever happens happens.

The President has no managerial experience and his experience is complaining about a problem and leave it up to someone else find a solution do the work. He has not had any real experience in decision making. There is a big difference between pointing out a problem, looking at possible solutions, and making the final decision is something not everyone can do. I was in the position to make decisions for most of my career. What I found interesting was I had lots of employees who were willing to give advice and tell me what I should do, but when faced with having to make the decision they did not want to make it. These same people could always tell me what I should have done after the fact, they could tell me all the reason for or against but they could not, would not make the decision them self.
Criticizing a plan or idea is easy, deciding what course to take is difficult and not everyone has what it takes to make a decision.

He seems very naive to me because he sets unrealistic goals and doesn't take the appropriate steps to even have a chance at reaching them. If we always try to please everyone, we will end up pleasing noone.
I agree with the racism thing. I believe this is why he was elected, and while I have no objection whatsoever to a black person being president, I have a real problem with someone being elected just because of the color of their skin, which is what I believe was the case. And it's all so ironic given that a black woman also ran. People judge candidates on the wrong things. Not many actually look into the candidate's policies. I was in a politics class during the time of the election and talking to my classmates, it was clear that they wanted to vote for him for the wrong reasons.
