I am sure many of my friends here have noticed that I have not been posting much the last couple of days. Matter of fact, the last time I posted was when I posted about not feeling good at all. Well, I guess sometimes when you have a side effect to a drug you need to quit taking it earlier, or report it, as the pain got so bad it turned into horrible Chest pains and I thought I might be having Heart problems they got so bad. But Praise God it was nothing to this extent, and I am feeling a lot better. Not got all my energy back but closer. I did get it confirmed it was not my Heart, and that I do have fibromyalga. Now it helps explain some things, and I will be doing more reading up to learn more about this. Have started a new BP med along with a drug to help with the pain. Continued Prayers are appreciated until I feel closer to 100%. ~~TINA~~

Hi Tina, Hope you get well soon. My husband has had some chest pain and the doctor said it has nothing to do with his heart (Thank GOD for that). He is on some medications too. Could you explain further what a fibromyalga is? I'd like to find out if my husband has the same.

Well, fibromyalga is nothing fun. You constantly ache especially when you walk, and your body hurts all over. I have problems with my legs, my joints, migraines, etc. It took me awhile with doing some reading, research and asking questions and learning from people here on myLot what fibromyalga is and what to expect. This is also something that is not diagnosed right away, but if some of the symptoms fit discuss it with your Doctor and he might consider it in time. It takes months usually to diagnose and problem is there is no quick easy cure when found.

I hope that you continue to get your energy back. There is nothing that is worse than feeling bad and it is especially bad when a big part of it is because you are having a reaction to a medication. This past week they gave my husband a medication to help with the hiccups that he has been getting as a result of his chemo therapy. Well, he had to call the on-call doctor last night because he was pretty much out of it because of a reaction to the medication.

This is wonderful Tina that you are feeling better, I am very happy to hear this. As for the energy that will take some time as you surely have been through a great deal. Please continue to eat well balanced foods and lots of fruit so you can regain your energy back. I am still praying my dear friend and hoping you can recover fully.

yes. we will continue to pray for your quick recovery. Man has to feel fully ok for doing his works. Any part of the body is affected means it will certainly tell upon his confidence to take up work. Be positive. Our prayers are there for you always.

I'm glad you got to the bottom of that problem! You are right, you need to report side effects as soon as they pop up. When they were giving me the last desensitization treatment, they told me before they started each bag of medication to tell them if anything changed. As soon as I started itching, I pointed out the rash starting to form on my wrists and she stopped the treatment as soon as she saw the rash was spreading. I'm glad the problem isn't your heart. I hope that they are able to help you get through the pain! Have a great weekend!!!

I just saw this post. So sad to hear that you aren't feeling very well. I've nothing much to offer except to say that you should always have your doctor's number on hand. That you should make sure to have someone with you there in case of emergencies. That you should get lots of rest. Godspeed!

I have been watching for your posts, because I knew that as soon as you felt a little better that you would be here. I am sorry that you had such a bad reaction to the medication, but that does happen. It seems that doctors don't always give us the best medicine for ourselves. Take care of yourself and you will be in my prayers today!

It is always such a relief to know the facts, isn't it? The pressure of not knowing is so debilitating and makes us feel so helpless. Now that you know what's causing your symptoms you can take action and become involved in your treatment and that's always empowering! I have observed that people who are chronically ill feel worse when they feel they have no power over their condition. Action, any action, gives power and that lets a person be more positive in their outlook--which is the key to beating any physical disease, or so the doctors say and I believe. I'm not happy about your diagnosis, it's not an easy disease to live with, but I'm happy you're no longer in suspense and can begin to take the bull by the horns!

I am so glad your heart is clear. I have had fibromyalga for many years, during most of that time they thought this was a mental problem, but finally it got it's own name and many improvements in treatment have occured. I have beat this with improved diet, yoga and over the counter meds for the pain. The present treatments have many side effects that to my way of thinking far exceed the fibromyalga problems. Be very careful with what meds you take for this condition. Blessings Pat

I'm glad there was nothing serious wrong. At least now you know what it is and that always seems to make things easier to deal with. I know myself, not having a diagnosis, everything that happens I wonder if it is related to my physical problems.
