I still remember our first mobile phone back on 2002, it's called bosch, but I forget now the unit...
We buy it in about P 2,000.00, not a brand new, just second hand...
After we buy it, were excited to use it and explore it so we try to text first our neighbor which have a nokia 3210. She's the most popular on that time because she have that unit. Then we try to call the other friends of my family to tell and announce that we have a cellphone. We are so happy on that time! That's the first time that we own a cellphone.
The good thing when you have a cellphone on that time, we always load our cellphone with P 300.00 a month... Feeling like a rich!!! But today, 10, 30... 2 days a week.
What's about to all mylotters here, do you still remember your first mobile phone???
And share it to everyone!!! =D

If I am remember there is no nokia before. The first cellphone I've seen then is a motorola which is no sim card. Then after they invented what they called cell card. Which is like the call card today...
I don't remember anymore the name and brand of my first cellphone. As I remember there is no sim card in it...

A Nokia 101, it was huge by today's standards. It was on an analogue network as digital had not come about. I t was novel at the time. Now I can't stand mobile phones and I think they are the bane of society.
Did I mention that....

My first mobile phone was from a prepaid carrier here in the US called virgin mobile. I remember sharing it with a friend so that we could feel proud we owned a cellphone. It was a really dinky cellphone and we ran out of minutes on it pretty fast, but it was fun while it lasted and it did help me find a job as I had minutes put on it and went around looking for work. Shortly after I bought myself a phone from a contract company, sprint, and since then I've only had one other prepaid phone, which is straight talk.
Now I need to go back to straight talk as the cellphone bill is much easier to manage.

Yes Cell Phones are quite helpful things and now they are making them to be more and more like a second computer. Just yesterday I used a phone that had a keyboard on it, where I had to press the buttons, and it was strange to me as I am so used to my touch screen!

The phone is the first time I use Siemens C35. Not my
own, but belong to my parents. I personally owned cell phones, the first time I have is the Sony Ericsson W200. Until now I still use, because the phone was a birthday gift from my husband.

Your a very good user of your phone, you made it to be last that long... And it means you have a nice personality in your heart, it reflects for what every you do in your surroundings and how you value everything you have mostly when it is given by the one you love. =)

I remember my first cellphone , colored green and small.
It was a hand me down from my sister, who bought a new model for herself. Yes, it was also Bosch, i think. It's background is yellow green and have a small screen, and is small but chubby. It served me so much, before i decided to buy a new model.

The first handset that I had ever used was of Nokia. I do not remember the exact model though I still have it somewhere in one of my old bags. After that whatever handsets I have purchased have always been Nokia. At present I am using a Nokia 2690.

I have not used any other brand that is why I cannot say that Nokia is the best. It has just been that everyone in the family uses Nokia so whenever the question came about buying a new handset the common choice was Nokia. Do not know much about the features of other phones. There may be many more in the market that are better than mine.

Yeah, I think your right, you cannot say about anything unless you use them first. It's like how you can say that this product will not work if you didn't actually try it in the first place. I gave for a moment my old N70 now to my sister to use for her business, I'm not that really active now in mobile phone, I'm more in using my laptop. Why not try another brand next time you buy a mobile phone for yourself, just for a change. =)

I had no intention of changing it but it conked out while I was in hospital. It saved my life so to say in that when I met with an accident and it helped rounding up people who needed to be there to take care of me. But unfortunately it fell under my pillow and could not be repaired. I still have it and will never part with it.

I cannot repair it but I have kept it safely and each time I see it it reminds me of how helpful it was. It is unbelievable sometimes what can help us in a crisis situation.

I still remember the way it looked but don't exactly recall the name of the unit. JRC or JVC? All I know is that it is Japan-made. I got it from Smart. And back then, it was like an actual wireless phone. It didn't have a SIM. And my plan then was Plan Zero. It was really BIG!

Haha, yeah, i still remember my first cellphone. I was attracted by all the nice ringtones of it, and its look. That were the reason i bought it. I was just going into college, and I was really not that practical back then. The phone was not of a famous brand, and it really was not of high quality. The keys got ineffective after only 2 years. I now uses my 3rd handphone. But i still miss my first one.

Hi!
Yes, I still remember my first cellphone ever! It's really memorable for me because it got stolen in a taxi just after a few days when my mother bought it! I was in college then and my mother bought me a cellphone so she can call me anytime because I was studying in a far university. She used to call me via my boarding house's landline and it wasn't really convenient and it's expensive! I also used to call home in a public telephone and it wasn't convenient too. So she had to buy me a cellphone. At that time, she already have a cellphone. But since it was my first, I wasn't used to having a cellphone yet. So when I was in the taxi, I was using my cellphone and when I was getting money from my bag to pay for the taxi, I put the cellphone beside me and when I paid, I totally completely forgot all about that darn cellphone and so I got out of the taxi without it. My mother was so disappointed and angry.
So I bought my next cellphone which was Nokia 3310 using my allowance from my scholarship. And oh, by the way, my first cellphone was also Bosch, and I remember the image model for it by then was Aga Mulach. ^^

I can remember my first mobile phone as I purchased it a few years ago. It was Sony Ericsson W200i. I purchased it at a retail shop and I enjoyed it for about 8 months before switching to another phone having more features. I have changed several mobile phone in the past years, almost 1 or 2 each year. Currently I have Nokia E52 for about 6 months now and I like it. I am thinking about sticking to it as I think I have already spend too much money on mobiles.

I sold them but at last I figured out that I have spend and lost much more money than the value of my current mobile as I always purchased new mobile and when selling them I got lesser money for them. And moreover the price of mobiles also keep falling with time which further decreases the resale value.

That's right, every electronic devices today is easily becoming cheap... My attitude is just to use mobile phone in its main feature and that's to call and text... =)
That's why I'm not buying new phone today... but of course if I do have many money today, I'm gonna buy a new one... LOL...

i can remember when my mom bought a new cellphone for herself which a few weeks later she gave to me. It was a 6210 phone and it was brand new which cost about 5,ooo pesos. Right now i can still remember when i was so engrossed in texting and using up all of the load when unlimited texting was not yet offered.

Wow i read the responses most of the mylotters' first phones are nokia. Mines was a Philip Savvy which costed over 2000. i can't afford a nokia phone at that time. And my load!!! oh my god that was really waste of money because we have to load at a minimum of 300pesos. Now it's much better because we have electronic load.

Hey there fellow pinoy! It's seeing a pinoy mylotter around.
Our very first mobile phone was a motorola. I also forgot the model but I think it's T180. Mom gave it to me as my own when I was studying in Batangas (our families real residence is in Taguig) so we can still communicate and not miss each other too much.
Well that's my first phone's story. Hope you like it! =)
