Super intelligence of man is both a blessing and a curse for man himself. It is a blessing in the sense that it has differentiated man from other creatures of God and has made it possible for him to lead such a high standard of life in due course of time. But it is also a curse as it is at the root of all so much destruction of life and property on this planet. Am I wrong?

I don't think that you are wrong at all. With every advance that people are able to make during the course of their lives, there are certain things that are lost at the same time. In many ways, it is that which leads to the advancement of human kind. However, it is also what has caused us to lose many skills that we had in the past. One good example would be the ability to hunt. Some people still hunt for sport, but it isn't done as often to feed people the way that it once was.

Super intelligence in men? What planet do you live on? Just kidding. Well, alittle anyway. Is it really the root. Didn't He want us to be all we could be. Gave us that chance anyway. It was really our decision to mess everything up. Lets not blame the big guy. I wonder if he knew this was how things would go.--?

Hi Doc! I believe that men is super blessed. We can achieve everything that we set our minds in. But we should be very wise in using our gifts; otherwise we are the ones to suffer its consequences.

it's not intelligence that threatens the planet, but curiosity. A person can be intelligent but not curious and that's ok. there is no danger until man starts to get curious and wants to start bothering things they shouldn't and want to start creating things that shouldn't be made.
Nukes, atomic bombs, and the like are a result of curiosity mixed with the thirst for power. Power hunger is a way bigger threat than intelligence. Even in religious settings the power hungry cause problems.

Not only are you correct but it was set up for this to happen. The moment G-d set the tree of knowledge in Eden , man was doomed. Or The moment man stood up erect, he was doomed.

Man is the only one in God`s creation who has been given the gift of super intelligence and has also given him the freedom to use it as he wills.Throughout millions of years which has seen man evolve from a hominid species to what he is at present Man has done wonders for himself, inventing and discovering things which have made his life more and more comfortable. However since Man lives in duality the good is also accompanied by the bad which comes in all forms and has also made his life insecure and miserable.Intelligence can be used in both ways, to make his life a blessing and to bring him closer to self destruction. In what Hindus call the age of Kali,Man`s evil tendencies have come to the fore and leading him on the path of destruction, not only himself but also the earth and the environment.there is a great need for man to rein in his evil tendencies and bring forth the good tendencies so that he can make his life and the world in which he livss a heaven.

Intelligence itself is not a curse or at the root of destruction but rather it's how man chooses to use that intelligence. Man is the only one of God's living creations that has the ability to reason...to think. We are also the only living beings that can experience emotions and feel love or hate toward one another and toward God. It's not the existence of intelligence that is a curse for if it were God would not have given it to us. God is a good and nothing evil comes from Him. It is man's willful disobedience of God that has led to all the destruction in the world. And it all began in the Garden with Adam. Thank God for the intelligence...and the ability to develop that intelligence...He has given us.

Intelligence is what we will make of it. It can be a blessing if it is used in the right manners. It can also be a cursr if it is used foolishly. it is up to us how intelligence is perceived and accepted.

Yes it is. Because when you're intelligent, you see more ways of making everything 'good' for you. BUT at the same time, you see all the evil, all the schemes, all the tricks being pulled by world's powerful people and you know you can't do anything about it. Not being intelligent is seen as being happier by some, and I agree.

Well in my point of view, "super intelligence" is definitely a gift and not a curse. It's just a matter on how you live with it. Use it for the best of mankind, share your knowledge, and stay your feet on the ground. I've encountered a lot of brilliant people and some of them thinks that if people don't easily get what they're saying, they're some kind of a God who knows everything. Anyway, everyone is intelligent and gifted in their own way. Like, you may not be good in math and science but your good in history or maybe you're a polyglot or something or maybe you don't do good in the class - not in any subject but you're gifted in the field of sports or music and arts. Something like that. We are all created equally. You may be blessed in a certain ability but you may be lacking in some aspects of life.. :)
