here are SO many you wouldn't believe it.
Revenue share: Helium, Associated Content (if you're US-based), HubPages, Squidoo, Bukisa, Triond (most pay monthly)
Freelancing: Elance, Guru, oDesk, Freelancer (pay when you finish a job)
Marketplace: Constant Content (pay when you sell articles)
Job postings: just about everywhere you look. Try aboutfreelancewriting.com and freelancewritinggigs.com
Monster list: (old but still applicable, especially with all the comments): http://freelanceswitch.com/finding/the-monster-list-of-freelance-job-sites-2009-update/
That'll get you started. Check out the free guide in my profile for more info and links to stuff.

LOL, no. They're all free to sign up, too (I refuse to pay for anything).
(Well, I suppose an individual employer might ask for a degree if it's a specific job like writing for Scientific American or something.)
Don't be pulled in by the course hype. I have no writing qualifications at all and am a freelance writer earning a decent extra income with some solid, regular, long-term clients.
Yes, courses are helpful but people are talking crap if they say you "need" qualifications to write online. You just need to be able to put together grammatically-correct (or close) sentences, do a little research and meet deadlines.
Sounds like you might be someone who'd profit from dropping in on my blog. I started about three years ago and went through a list of wrong decisions, stupid ideas and believing a lot of the snobby people who look down on new writers. I've put as much advice and helpful stuff on the blog as I can (and I keep adding whenever I think of something), mostly in a real effort to show people like me (and perhaps you) that there's no reason you can't do it - and that there are a lot of folks out there who'll help and are friendly.
Hope it helps. Feel free to ask anything here or in a private message: I'll help if I can!

Writing online is good fun and it can earn you a little spare cash but the good writing sites are few and far between now. Ciao used to be reasonable but the incentives are a little poor now, Helium is another site that used to be worth writing for but it seems to have changed its payment method. dooyoo is a review site but I find rating hard to cope with. If you write a review on dooyoo then you need to rate in excess of fifty other reviews to make your own review pay!My daughter writes on dooyoo and she does it to earn some spare cash for christmas.

There are so many ways to earn online from writing I can't mention all of them in a single post. Articles are an easy way, blogging, and starting a website or blog to promote are just a few ways.
