Hello Lotters,
As a Veteran I know exactly how you feel. I mean a lot of users get their post deleted, not only because the admin sees that and (CATtality )deleting your post, but also because they are being reported by fellow mylotters as well.
* For responders & commentators Regardless if you have only responded to that discussion, how can you're response exist with out the discussion? That would be too weird if you're response or comment left hanging with out the discussion, lotters would be wondering what you've talked about. So, the best way is to read the discussion carefully and look over the guidelines to see if there's a violation involved. because chances are such topic has already been reported and awaiting deletion. but if it's you're fault, don't repeat it
* So topic starters, you have to think of the topic carefully and make sure it doesn't violate the rules. that's why i've also put up a discussion about the discussion guideline links.it's right there in the MYLOT tab besides earnings and fun stuff. Don't get you're responders into trouble by making a topic target for deletion because they took their time to respond to yours, something that shouldn't be taken for granted. same here,If it's you're fault, then learn from that mistake, don't wait for the admin to kick your account out of mylot.
We have all the Freedom to discuss, but It never hurts to follow the rules.
but it's pain in the butt if you don't.
Have a Nice day.

We should ALL be responsable for our own actions here and if we are aware of the Guidelines we will know what not to post as a topic, and where not to respond.
It pays to read previous responses because often there are older Lotters who have spotted a violation (such as plagiarism) and will warn with their response. We are told to read them before placing our own response and if we do so we will see the warning and move on to somewhere else.
If we lose a post then that should spur us on to get into top gear and go and post somewhere else to make up for our losses!

Hello Aunt D.
Too bad though not every body is responsible enough. not to mention newbies tend to be loose before they realized their mistake, like me in the past. some people are really needs getting used to because i know i've been there and they are going through the same thing. as for me, i don't respond to discussions that can be violation. besides, if i gave them warning , they might see it as intimidation.

I have long forgotten about them seeing it as intimidation. There is no place for them here taking away earnings from honest users and as we now have admin here daily, they don't have much time to do a lot of damage

Thank you Letran for reminding us all about this. It is good to think about what we want to say it so that we won't violate the guidelines and TOS. Thanks for the tips.

Hello P-Q.
It's just the facts of life that we make a mistake and we learned from it. though honestly, some people like me made several mistakes before we can make up for the lost discussions or any other post for that matter. you welcome and have a nice day

Hello carmel,
Yes, Finally I've decided to make sure that they don't feel bad about loosing a post. we all make mistakes at the earliest times of being in mylot. i hope more people had been enjoying this site. just hope if things are going so well for them. someday they will learn to be mature and post it right

Yes this sucks when it happens it happened to me just recently and I was talking about another website and I didn't realize that they called it referraling. I just wanted to know what others thought of p t c sites and there'd experiences with them.
The worst thing about my lot would be the "anonymous brown nose's" I feel like I am in elementary again and the teachers pets are always telling on me! This is ridiculous! I understand it is to make my lot a better forum or something like this but my goodness let administratives do their jobs and play the game of finding them.

Sad that not ALL myLotters are doing what is asked of them.
If we ALL contributed to kepping myLot as it should be then we would ALL benefit.
Earnings from deleted posts are re-allocated among active users insteda of going to those who think they can beat the system and post their garbage.
FYI Yesterday a plagiarist psoted in 1 single day over 100 posts simply by copying a response from page 1 on 100 discussions and posting on a later page as their own - thinking no-one wouold notice or report.
Is everyone happy to let those cheats get their share of OUR earnings?

Hi Amanda
As myLot guidelines state:
- Help us out and report trolls, flame wars, and troublemakers by sending an abuse report to myLot.
- Help out when you can. The myLot staff tries to monitor the site constantly, but we also need your eyes and ears to catch problems when they arise and report abusive behavior.
So, I guess there are some myLotters that are doing their job in helping out Admin in monitoring the site.

Hi Letran,
Yes I am careful and do definitely sit and think twice reading a discussion I may want to start as my thoughts are same as yours and that is that if I do violate the guidelines it will not just reflect me but the responders too.
As you know I do not start very many discussions but when I do start one many are very loyal to me and will respond and for that reason I do really try to re-read any discussion I start as it is sad but not so much for me but for the others as I would not want them to loose their efforts.
Thanks for reminding us all as usual Letran to be careful and considerate to the others.

Hello Hardworkinggurl,
That's good, usually i do easily pop into the friends discussion because really we know that if the person making the discusion is not in our friendslist, there's tendency that such discussion can be a violation. so, therefore we must avoid it. you welcome am glad i can help. have a nice day.

"Tufty Club" Not sure which club that is, in fact not any club just careful. Though not perfect. I receive Lot of deletions per day as I intentionally enter discussions knowingly that they will get deleted. But do so to help the member learn the site, with some helpful advice.

Hi LetranKnight25
That is why I try to avoid participating in discussions that I know will be deleted.
In order to avoid discussions from being deleted, I would advise the new myLotters to take a little bit of their time to read the guidelines. Hopefully then, there would be lesser discussions or may be none at all being deleted in future.

Hello J1lyn10,
unfortunately, not every one read the guidelines. some are really arrogant and ignorant unless they learn their lesson. only a few read them unless they got a good upline. some topics are similar but of course, there is a difference too between a plagiarist design or just similar and not the same.

Hi LetranKnight
If those arrogant and ignorant ones don't learn their lessons, my guess is that they won't be able to stick around here for long unless they make some changes in their attitude. Even sometimes when I am not sure of anything, I still refer back to the guidelines.

This is a great article to post and share especially for the Newbies. Many times you will have posts that are deleted, including from time to time discussions that you might have started including from some of the old timers like me. Not everyone can judge what discussion and topic will be deleted, and when, but if they are Smart like others here, they will learn what it takes to survive.

Hello Krause,
Thank you so much for the compliment. besides, It's really sad indeed when you loose such a discussion most specially if you put a hard work on it. but of course, no matter how smart and cool the topics are, if it's against the guidelines, then it's no goodthey will and do learn how to make it betterhave a nice day

You know how many times this particular discussion has been repeated yourself Letran, and how null and void it is because most people will continue to not listen. I appreciate the discussion none the less but let's hope your discussion here won't follow suit on discussions to be deleted!
On a side note, most senior mylotters say "I've reported this discussion" so people who see it know to steer clear.
*I've NOT reported this one though*

Sad that so many do not read previous responses before posting their own.
Yesterday there was a plagiarist here and in the 3rd response on one of their topics it was obvious that it was going to be deleted - but the responses continued on to page 2

HI letran knight: nice discussion. As a topic starter I have to say that when a discussion I have started has been deleted that was actually good because that's the hard way we can learn the guidelines. There's always a reason why a discussion has been deleted so we can learn from our mistakes and also from the mistakes of others. This has also helped me as a mylot responder to look carefully what are my interests and when a discussion will be probably deleted.

so sad to received a notice that your post or your response has been deleted but what else can we do if its already deleted.

I feel very disappointed when my post is delected. Actually yesterday I posted a discussion which I thought it was lots of fun. I attached a photo there since it will test whether you are near-sighted or not. But today I got an email from Mylot and told me this discussion was delected since it broke the rule. I don't really agree to it.

hiletran I did feel sorry and sad that my discussion was deleted mainly as I had som any friends respoonding to it. the whole thing got out of hand and I had not wanted to bad mouth the person at all. It was a premise I was interested in but some said unkind things that hurt the person in question and I guess I should have just asked mylot admins myself to delete the discussion because it had turned mean and that was not my intention at all.theonly reason I had refused to do it myeslf was that a lot of my friends had responded and wo uld lose earnings. but I reallyshould have asked it myself to have it deleted as it had turned ugley.

It really sucks for someone discussion to be deleted.
It has happened to me to once, i posted something about mylot earnings many people responded to it.
For me i didn't see anything wrong with the discussion before i could know what was happening i recieved a msg that my discussion has being removed because of game and poll, i was directed to the guidelines to confirm although it seen to be true i really felt bad,but got to move on .
