I Have My Email Account Back! Yay!

As you already know from my last discussion that hotmail had locked a lot of accounts up because hackers had somehow found their way in so many accounts including mine so Microsoft locked a lot of accounts up to clear these hackers out. After emailing them and getting a few emails back through another account of mine, and proving that my account with hotmail was indeed mine, they finally unlocked it so I'm back!! It took about four or five days to do it but it's done and now I have my hotmail account back. Hopefully no more hackers! Now I've come to realize I have over sixty discussions to be viewed and answered. I'm SO far behind! Wow!! I guess I'm going to have to work backwards, meaning, the oldest to the newest in order to catch up with everybody's going on's so please bear with me while I try to catch up! Notice the word 'try' right? LOL That's a lot to catch up with but I'm going to give it a shot! As for my dad, they replaced his pace maker instead of changing the battery and he did much better than I thought he would. However, my husband’s friend is sick with the flu so hubby knew to stay away from him because germs travel. Well I had found a hat that hubby was looking for to give to his friend as a gift in which I found at the VA hospital and bought it. Hubby called his friend to let him know that he had something for him and that he's going to leave it on the front porch. Well, apparently that's a no no too because I still caught whatever his friend had but only a twinge of it but enough to make me sick for about 6 hours and this happened on Sunday. Well I had been at my parents to help them out with some things the day before I got sick and so dad had gotten it too and was sick yesterday and last night. I just talked to him and he's feeling much better today, thank God! Whew! I felt so bad about it and certainly didn't do it on purpose. Having lupus makes me so susceptible to getting sick and with my parents health problems along with age, they're susceptible too. At least it's in the past now and I'll have my lysol spray with me from now on!! LOL So anyways, have you ever been so far behind in so many discussions before? How long did it take you to catch up? I think it's going to take me about a week or two before I do! So hang in there! I've not forgotten any of you!!

Well "HELLO!" to the both of you!! I hate being so far behind too Jo but I'm all caught up now. It took me about 4 or 5 days to do it but I did it! Yay! No, it's not near my birthday yet, my birthday is Aug 26th. Hubby's is in a couple of weeks, July 26th so maybe it's him you're thinking of? I still have a touch of this stomach virus but it's not nearly as bad as it was. But my parents, they're both sick. They've been on this up and down roller coaster, better one day and sick the next. It has to be the stomach virus that's going around because I still have a touch of it but it's ok, I can deal with that little bit. Hubby went to the movies the day before yesterday and when he called I asked him to get some diet ginger ale for dad, he's a diabetic and some gatorade for mom and a few other things and take it up to them and he did, thank God. Their stomachs are so unsettled that I know ginger ale will help settle it down. Hopefully they'll be back on their feet soon. *sigh

I have been absent around here as well. I think it has been since around Nov/Dec 2010 since I have been on. I am so lost now when I read the discussions that I can't even keep up. I work only seasonally during tax season and I work so many hours that there is really no way I can keep up with the discussions here on MyLot. I have always enjoyed the discussions and the great friends I have met on here, but unfortunately, you have to prioritize. Now I am back, but of course with summer here and teenagers "being bored" I can't really give MyLot my all, but I am trying. If my days are consumed with the kids, I am over trying to help my parents out but I am definitely trying to find time for me...which is my MyLot time. Hugs. Gerri

Oh gosh, I can imagine how busy you've been with tax season now behind you! Wow! You know, what I'd do is read all that I could but not respond till you get closer to the present moment. That way you'll get caught up on the events of everybody and can comment on the latest discussions and not be so lost. Another thing too, real life comes first and foremost so don't worry about us. We all understand that this is the way it has to be. Especially when you have small or young kids to deal with. I'm having to help my parents too and again today because my mom is really sick. Dad too but not as bad as mom is right now.

I should have tried to keep up with reading the discussions, as now I am really lost. In the beginning of tax season I would work 12-15 hour days. I would come home exhausted and of course have the spend time with the kids and hubby. I would end up looking at my email every few days and I would have hundreds of emails. I had all to do to look through the important emails let alone anything else. Of course now I feel so bad, because I can't keep up with the discussions, it is like I lost 6 months of all of my friends lives. That almost sounds strange to type, but it is true. It is amazing to me how much I truly missed MyLot and my MyLot friends.

Your hotmail was locked? Wow, I would go crazy if I couldn't get into my inbox, glad you got it back,.. That is also good news about your dad, but sorry about your husband's friend and you getting sick, and then your dad..I am sure he'll be fine, he sounds like a fighter.. The only time I didn't get into my mail was when my computer crashed and that was a nightmare, especially the last round where I didn't have a computer for 15 months.. But I was able to go to the library and keep my inbox from overflowing..I did this by doing very little, (I have limited time on the library computer)and I did delete many of my friends posts they started..They understood and knew when I got a computer again, I will be back to my active self.. Some people insist on viewing every message, and that is okay, but it is too much for me, and that is okay too..So what I am saying, if you deleted your friends posts they started while you couldn't get into your mail, I am sure they will understand..I certainly do..

Yeah, my email was locked because of some damned hacker and so microsoft found out about it and got rid of them. It took about 4 or 5 days of questionairs and answers to show that it was indeed my account. At first I did go a little ape sh!t. LOL But in a day or two, I had to just accept it and go from there but there again I was a little busy for a couple of days so that kept my mind distracted. I had to drive mom out of town to get dad from the VA hospital when he had his pace maker replaced. They didn't just replace the battery afterall but the whole thing which is even better but having to do that kept me preoccupied for a while. And, I'm all caught up with responding to everyone's discussions so now I'm doing my own! Yay!! lol When hubby came home from a year tour in Korea the second time, we bought our first computer but while he was there, I had to go to the library to use theirs to communicate with him so I know what you're talking about there. As for my dad and my mom too, they're both sick. They've been on this up and down roller coaster, better one day and sick the next. You know, diabetes runs in my family and for the life of me, I can't recall if a diabetic can consume a little natural sugar like honey? I know my sister wasn't allowed, but whether it was from her diabetes, or because she was on a dialysis machine for her kidneys, I can't remember..The reason I wonder is, if he can eat honey, it would be really good to get some ginger root and make a homemade tea with a little honey. It is more natural and he doesn't consume that artificial sweetener that can't be much good for him..

I have been behind before and I am behind right now. I'm not sure exactly how far behind I am, but there are two pages of emails some of which include many discussions. I was sick last weekend and then I have been playing catch up with my school work so now I am hoping to get caught up over the next week or so. I think I am still two or three days behind but I'm sure that I will catch up given time. I'm sure you will catch up. I always do! Have a great weekend!!!

I knew there was something up with the hotmail accounts but I didn't know what. Mine has been a little "funny" for the past few weeks. It might take me a week or so to get caught up too...if ever. I'm trying though.

You need to contact hotmail associates and let them know so they can correct the problem. They may lock up your account for a few days till the problem is resolved. It's not hard at all to do. They ask a series of questions to see if you're the rightful owner. That's what they did with me and I got my email back without the hackers. About my parents, they're both sick. I was out of my email for about 4 or 5 days so it wasn't that long but long enough to get over 70 discussions to answer and I did it in just as many days that I was gone but I did it! All are answered!! Yay! lol

Hi, CatsandDogs....How are the cats and dogs? I have an email account with msn but it's not hotmail. So I didn't get any notices. It's been so long since I checked that one, that it's probably got over 1000 of a backlog. I don't use it regularly. I can't even remember how many mail accounts I have. I'll have to check it and start the weeding process, I suppose. But only when I have a couple of hours to spend doing it. It's a chore when it's left that long. I don't think a six hour sickness would be the full blown flu. Maybe just a little virus. But I'm glad all of you are doing better. It's such a bummer to be sick with anything anymore since I'm older and it takes longer to recover. I carry hand sanitizer with me whenever I have to go out in public. Can't count on stores and other people to have it available. I try not to go out much. But still have to go to the grocery, church, etc.

Hi yoyo! Oh the gang are all doing fine! Some need to be taken in to the vet to get their shots but that'll probably happen tomorrow (Monday). I have only three email accounts but the hotmail one is my main one so for it to get locked up like it was, really put me behind here at mylot but I'm all caught up now and now I'm answering my own discussions. It took me about 4 or 5 days to do it but I did it!! Yay!! lol No, I don't think I had the flu but a touch of a stomach virus which I still have but not nearly as bad. Now my parents, they're both sick. They've been on this up and down roller coaster, better one day and sick the next. It has to be the stomach virus that's going around because I still have a touch of it but it's ok, I can deal with that little bit. Hopefully they'll be back on their feet soon. *sigh I suggested to a friend of mine when she had a small daughter to use hand sanitizer to wipe the public toilets with because her daughter was too small to stand and use the toilet and she was really happy that I suggested it. I carry it with me at all times too. One can never be too safe these days.

I know the feeling of being behind with notifications! My inbox has 1364 MyLot discussions in it so you could say that I am a ‘tad’ behind lol! I have to attend to the new ones now because the old ones are just too old! I also relate to catching ailments from other people; at the moment I have a nasty cold I caught from my daughter, you know…Coughing, sore throat etc…So I am sitting here feeling miserable! Glad you and your mum and dad are doing better and that your email is ok. Stay away from those germs!

My dad's hotmail got hacked into recently! He hardly uses it but a lot of family members' emails are listed there. I got a scam email from that account telling me that he lost money and whatnot. I didn't think much of it knowing that it was a scam. However, his brothers were calling him left and right. He's not using that account anymore, so it might be discontinued by now.

I had no internet in my entire area for nine full days and when I got back up and running I have well over 1200 email alerts. Yes I went through them slowly and responded to the ones I had interests with and I believe it took me about 5 days to get through them all. I did not sit and go through each one in one sitting as I was shifting between the old and new simultaneous so that I did not get too bored. I am glad your father is doing better now and hopefully he will be okay with the new pace maker. Just take your time as it sounds like you had so much going on and as you know discussions can be answered any time.

You shouldn't worry about it because your friends understand that life, real life, takes precedence over our internet lives. Oh, I know that parts of our internet lives can also be part of our real lives but we can't help you with what you have to do, at least physically, and you can't help us physically; that's something we have to do on our own. Since we all have real lives, I know that everyone understands when you, me or anyone else can't respond to some discussions. If I don't log in even one day, I have at least 50 new discussions in my inbox. There's absolutely no way I could handle them all, not now. Actually, I can only respond to one or two daily because my offline life has to take precedence and I have a LOT of work to do now. We have to get our house ready to sell (TRY to sell) and I have to divorce my husband. So, I have a few things that I need to do. Yeah, a few. Don't worry about responding to them all. Do what you can and don't let yourself get stressed because you can't respond to everyone. I know that everyone understands.

Hey there Marti! I had wondered what happened to you and what was your update! I'm not on Facebook that much so maybe that's why? Are you there more these days? So what's going on with you gal?! Sell your house and divorce your husband? What happened? What's going on? Are you going to move to your other house? Maybe then we'll FINALLY get to meet! I've been waiting on the day for that to happen!! Thanks for being so understanding about life taking precedence. You are one in a handful that truly understands that but guess what! I'm all caught up!! LOL It took me four days of doing it along with my normal every day things to do life. Whew! But I did it! LOL I'm working hard to raise the money to help my parents get a new roof on their house and even penny helps! $3,000. is a lot to raise but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day and this won't happen in a day either. I'm doing it in different ways so hopefully I'll get it up little by little.
