What kind of sick people attack an 80 year old man?

A local business man here was hit in the face and knocked down outside his house recently. They took his shoes and his briefcase. The poor guy had his pants torn while they attempted to get his wallet too. Ever have anything like that in your area?

There is no end to the way some people can mistreat others. It is hard to understand how some do not have any concern or compassion for their fellow man.

Unfortunately, where I live, there's many cases like that. At least, he still alive, but, the emotional scars are going to be with him forever. In my country, it's usual criminals invade elderly persons houses, because it's easier to get in and steal. Unfortunately, many times, the criminals ended up killing the persons if they are at home.

That is sad, sometimes it happens here, specially with people too much old or young. But telling about it i remember a fact that heppened last year here. There was a guy (a thief) he invade the old lady house to steal something and the woman was there ate the moment, but she practice some martial art and in this case she knocked down the thief (who was young, like 25 or 30 years old). See the woman telling the history on TV and the shame in the guy face was really funny.

I really pity the old man.I don't know what's happening to our world now, most of the time we hear news about crimes which are unthinkable. That some people can do such barbaric act to a defenseless old man.So we can say that no one is safe in any place.I just hope those who have done this to the poor guy will be arrested soon.

Unfortunately this can happen everywhere and at any time, especially now, when the crisis is far from the end.Such unfortunate events also happen in my area from time time, and the number of thieves and robbers can only increase as people are getting poorer and poorer;of course, that doesn't justify robbery and attacking any person, young or old,the scumbags who do such terrible things have no excuse for their misdeeds and eventually most of them are caught and sent to prison where they will have enough time to meditate on what they did.

My God that is horrible. Yep we it happens here too. Most people are heartless and no conscience. They do not care whether they hurt as long as they get what they want.

I hear about this stuff all of the time on our local news channel. I do not know what is wrong with people, especially these days. They do not care about anyone it seems.

I have heard about people doing all kinds of things to people of all ages. A couple of years ago, a woman was killed near my parents house in Arkansas when her business was being robbed. They killed this woman for less than $40 that they got out of the register. It's just sad.

Hi. ersmommy1. I am so sorry to hear about this incident. We have robberies too, but not anything that is like this, that I may know about. This is so sad. I hope that the person that robbed him will be caught! It is just very sad to see innocent people being robbed just because the thief is just too lazy to get their own personal things instead of taking away from someone else!

Poor old man..how can anyone do things like that in an old man? He is old enough to fight with them. These kind of people are the type of people who doesn't have a conscience. Someone who doesn't fear anyone. Someone who are willing to do anything just for the sake of money. Fortunately, there are no incidents like that are reported in my area and I hope that nothing will happen like that.

It happens to my neighbor, my friend's sister who is going to work early in the morning. She standby on the waiting shed waiting for the Jeepney as well as my sister too. Then there is a young male who grabbed my neighbor's bag, she screamed but I think she has still her bag. Together with my sister, they went to near Barangay Office to report what happened. I've heard in an area near ours, an Indian national was killed due to robbery. Indian here have a small business of lending household items, appliances and even money to people, house to house everyday they collected money. The bad guys probably eyeing on the Indian and plans on how to rob him, unfortunately they succeed and they had killed the Indian national and the fellow Filipino assistant.

This is sad to hear and certainly they felt that the elder man was a target because of his age. How sad this could be someone's dad and or grandfather. There was once an incident in my neighborhood, though it was a safe neighborhood, where at 11pm someone rang my bell and I checked through the glass and it was a young guy who said he was visiting a friend a few doors down and his car won't start and wondered if I could give him money to catch the bus. I outright refused as I was home alone with my two small kids. The next morning my door bell rang rather early. I checked and it was the Police knocking door to door asking if anyone had been at my door. They were going door to door asking all the neighbors. I gave him what I could remember as a description. It turns out that apparently this guy was not alone and he had done the same to me but to a 86 year old neighbor a few doors down where the elder opened the door and several rushed in and hit him over the head with a bat and robbed the guy. It was not until morning that the daughter came home and found the door open and the father on the ground. It is sad when elders and or anyone gets robbed and to top get hurt in the process too.

Really-really lincentious acts. Imagine if it happens to our parents. Parents should not be treated as such. As younger people we should have more respect for older people. And older people love the younger. Older people, with his experience, is a good place to share and ask for advice..
