In my own opinion, what we are experiencing now is part of climate change. Yes, it is true that the best climate for us to enjoy sleep is during rainy days. However, heavy rains could result to landslides and flash floods, which are major problems of the Philippines. We should do our part to prevent the damaging effects of climate change. :)

Climate change has a devastating impact in the philippines. I do the following simple steps in preventing climate change: 1. Reusing Shopping Bag, 2. Using cfl bulb. 3. Eliminating vampire load (appliances on standby), 4. Saving Water, and 5. Planting a Tree. :)

It's raining at this moment and I my clothes got semi-wet. Still, good thing it's not the usual heavy rain for the past few days here in Davao City. Is this part of the climate change? Well if that's what you call those garbage scattered anywhere, yes. (Just kidding ^_^). It is not entirely climate change as these rains were already happening to our city for a few years, and the great floodings just happened this past year. I would say that we should blame the garbages that blocks the drainage system and the continuous cutting of trees in the uplands. Without the trees, there are more water going downstream and with the clogged drainage system, the water has no where to go but the streets.

I don't frequently plant trees but I throw my garbage on the right place. We even have a compost pit at home which produces fertilizers for the plants.

Wish i have a place to have my own compost pit. Thats a good idea too.

well one of the problem we are facing right now that cause of all these flashfloods are the garbage. So we must throw our garbage to its proper place. And let us help planting tree to save our forest.

Yes i think so, I dont have to worry about the floding as much where i am living it is inconvienent but not life threatening but there was 8 metre flooding a desert regieon in Australia not long ago, It goes to show you can never be too careful! Right now the rain is smashing down in South Australia! I think climate change is to blame for all the extreme weather changes.

Yes i think human are the main cause of these environmental problems we pilledge the earth for energy and resources that we dont actually need to make power anyway. I think everyone should do what they can to preserve what is left of this planet before we pass the point of total destruction if we havn't already!

I think we people are partly to blame in this climate change. We are eventually not loving what God has given us. We always think what benefits us. I think it's time for a change, let us now think not just what ours but also what can we contribute to value and save what are left.

Global warming ang climage change is really affecting everything, the people and the environment itself. There are a looooots of effect but i am concern about the health effects. Sudden change and extreme temperatures (too much cold and too much heat) can make people sick, the heat is causing temperatures to rise that effects the air and water pollution higher. I hope the people will act now...

The same as here in our province in the North Part of Mindanao. I always come home from work wet from pouring rain huh...but i like it during night time, i don't need air condition to sleep and its less usage of power hehehe. Definitely, it is climate change in action.

A lot of heavy rain in Mindanao as news said it. And yesterday as i watched the news there was a landslide in Valencia, Bukidnon. With a casualty of 3 person. May they rest in peace.

Yes, I know it's in the news but we are lucky here in our place that we aren't affected. See, how the nature backfires to those who are trying to destroy the world?? I am afraid there are still more and big calamities in the coming days, maybe more deadly. Scary!

I hope that there will be no more floods in Manila area. We are lucky here in our city that we don't have floods like in parts of Manila and in Cotabato, we don't have landslides like Bukidnon, and etc..It's sad for those homeless who are just sleeping in shanties and cartons, yah, true...

What triggered me last night to sleep was the heavy rain that came around 10pm here in Cebu. Most of the time, I get a soothing feeling when it rains. Just the sound of the raindrops somehow gave me a relaxing feeling that could make me at ease for a while. Whenever it rains and I am home, either I make a hot choco for myself and grab a book to read or watch a movie. It really helps me relax and sometimes, I got to sleep. When it rains, I consider it as a blessing because I know most of the trees and plants who stood up to the sun's heat can finally be watered and their thirst for water will be aided. On the other hand, whenever heavy rains frequent, I also think of the people who doesn't have homes. Because tendency is that floods could be there anytime and they don't have a good place to stay and it's wet and cold outside.

Yah,it's nice when it rain at night to have a good night sleep with cold weather. But also scary with flashfloods that happens recently in our country in Davao just days ago. Guess this is also part of climate change. I am waiting for the rain today the sky is bit dark but still no rain. It might fall tonight again.

Yes, it is nice to sleep at night when there is rain. But I never wish for it to rain every night especially when the rain is heavy. And I think it is part of the climate change for every morning, the weather is really very hot and suddenly will just rain. I hate it sometimes because I get to go home late because my shift ends at 11pm so when I get home the rain is really heavy or sometimes the flood is still there after the heavy rain. And knowing the people in the southern part is really suffering from flood. Sometimes I can't sleep at night with the lightning and thunder, I feel something is going on outside even if I have my sisters beside me. It's too scary for me.

Yes, it rains every night here too, maybe because of the 2 low pressures in our country. I like it though, and the cloudy skies so it's not so hot to commute. But too much of it, plus lightning and thunder is scary.

This is happening because we are in the rainy season and the heavy rains is the results of La Nina phenomenon which means extra ordinary rainfall. We have been hearing about climate change, yes it is here but do not always blame it to climate change as we, people have contribution of what's happening now. The earth is starting to cleanse its self and if we do not mend our ways, we will be purged as one of the toxins it wants to get rid of.

It is really so nice to sleep at night while it's raining outside. The rain freshens the atmosphere, making us sleep nicely. However, if it rains heavily, then i don't want it to rain anymore. What good will it be that we may be able to sleep well because it freshens the atmosphere, if it will bring flood thereafter? I pity those people that can be affected.

I have also said that in mind that if rains heavily, better no rain anymore. So sad to think that rain now a days is dangerous.
