Doodle away!!

South Korea

I doodle a lot. Mostly during boring classes. And it's amazing coz it kills my boredom and time passes by quick too. The other day I was so bored at home, I started doodling. But this time on my leg . I know weird right?? Anyway it looked nice (well, i'm judging my own creation ). Later I showed it to mom. She, for a second, thought I got a new tattoo :P Anyway do you doodle?? How do your doodles look like?? Mine's mostly spirals and circles but they end up looking like flowers

Same as me! Whenever I'm in for a boring lecture I just doodle and draw. I doodle long continuous and wavy lines every now and then. I also tried to formulate new signature forms or letterings with those doodles. But most often I draw my classmates who are already sleeping in class. I also draw my teacher and the whole clasroom. I almost always end up with a masterpiece after boring classes. I think it's better to just doodle around rather than sleep!

Yep i think it's more productive than sleeping too . And wow you must be good at drawings. I am really bad at drawing people but can draw some goofy faces hehe. Keep up your drawings, who knows you might turn out to be a professional someday. good luck

Heheh I wish I could draw your avatar, but just looking at it, it looks difficult :(

Ahahaha! Thanks for that! Maybe because I'm just so attentive to small details that drawing is not really a problem for me. Anyway, I don't have any good training with regards to art and drawings. I just love drawing as a hobby or if I got nothing else to do. You can draw goofy faces eh? Maybe you can start drawing my avatar picture as a start. We can both exchange, I'll draw your picture and you draw mine.

Hi! How can you doodle on your leg??!! I used to doodle a lot, too when I was still a student. There were many boring classes and boring professors. I'm an anime fanatic so I doodle a lot of anime characters, mostly my favorite ones. I also used to doodle different styles of fonts. But there were times that instead of doodling during boring classes, I just wrote down my mockeries and sarcasms to every thing that the teacher was saying.

Hehe I was on my bed and bored so I started doodling on my legs Hey my sister sketches animes too. She's really good with female characters. She sometimes sketches people in their anime forms too. I am sometimes jealous of her talent. I wish I could draw that good

I did especially in my high school days. I used to draw my teacher or anything I see around me. If cellphones and MyLot were already rampant those days, for sure I have posted a lot already, that's how i presume to kill my boredom.

'doodle ' - to scribble - yes I learnt a new word. thanks. Whenever I scribble I do it in circles. Above two or three decades ago I use to sign and and then cut them immediately. I am reminded of a murder story where the accused was found out --after verifying the scribblings made by him - this man was in the habit of drawing coconut trees always and this habit of his got him to police.

Wow I had never though of doodling working as a thing that could catch a culprit. But it was good that the murderer was found. Anyway thanks for the response. Have a wonderful day!!

Yeah the more I concentrate on my doodles, the more prettier is the outcome :) If I don't then it just turns out be a piece of scribbled thing hehe

I've doodled at times when I'm on the phone or in some situation that I need to keep my hands busy. Doodling is considered a sign of an active mind. Doodling has also been used as a way to analyze a person's psychological state. Want to know what your doodles say about you? http://www.2knowmyself.com/Doodles_analysis_psychology/doodles_interpretation_personality

I have to say [ and I Am not a shame] that at 66 I still doodle...mine mostly are circles with a kind of vortex in the middle sometimes they look like an ying and yang and sometimes like a rose...I had made some patterns from some of them and embroidered it in material! to me doodling is like an art that you create when not thinking about any thing its an expression of the mind!

Hey thanks for the share. I hope I doodle till I'm like 80 or even more, that is if I make it to that year hehe anyway I remember the ying yang symbol becoming a cool sign once in our school. really, you could see the symbol drawn on every desks by students hehee sometimes in on their hands too.

Hi thatgirl Usually if I am on the phone it is an instant reaction to doodle if there is a nearby pen. It is an old habit in which I have never let go of. If there is no writing pen or pencil near by then I find myself pacing back and forth. I do remember in school, I use to doodle a lot during listening sessions. I guess old habits are hard to let go. I do the spiral thing too and sometimes intentionally create flowers. lol

Hehe I have my mom do the same while she's on the phone. She does that without being distracted from the conversation too , I guess that's talent hehe Yeah old habits die hard but I love doodling and I hope it stays with me

This reminds me of when I was a teen, I would make doodles on myself and on my friends all the time making them look like tattoos. Ahhh those were some fun times! I doodle now while on the phone, during meetings, or just hanging out watching tv, I do all kinds of stars, hearts, squiggles, animals, or whatever is laying around on the table I will make a quick sketch of it. Hey if you like doodling on yourself, maybe try one of those henna kits where you can draw your own temporary tattoos? I did one on vacation once and it was a lot of fun!

I doodle, I seem to mostly make faces all the time. There are times I just make some strange design. I like doodling when I am on the phone basically. If I want to actually draw something, I set myself up at the table with paper, pencils, pens and markers. I would call that my serious doodle.

I do make faces sometimes too but mine are mostly goofy faces. Not really good at sketches except for some doodles that turn out really good, amazing me too that is hehe. Wow you must be some good artist then when you get serious. Good luck with that then =)

Hehe my mom does the same when she's on the phone. Well yeah, thinking of it in your wife's perspective, it does sound like a not so good habit. But I love doodling and I don't wanna stop

I used to draw in myself all the time at school. I could draw nautical stars very good and people would get me to draw them on them.lol I don't draw much now, but when I do its mostly house plans. I'm trying to work out how I want our livingroom and kitchen to look, but with every movie I watch I get a different idea. And I draw mushrooms. I'm kinda good at drawing them too.

Wow you must be a really talented person designing a house of your own!! I do have a dream house in my mind, but I did nothing to design it. Just saw the house in one drama and absolutely fell in love with it hehe Aww mushrooms are cute but I can't draw them. I can draw a star though
