If you were a woman and considering a new relationship assuming you are a 60 year old at what age would you say "No he's too young?" I would be more apt to pick someone older probably because I have never married no gone out with a man younger than I. Thank You for your opinions dear friends.

At 60, I would probably say fifty two or older. I am almost fifty eight and this year I am feeling like there is too much age difference in mine and hubbie's ages, he is sixty five. He can be retired. I still need to work if I can find a job.

Thank You for your response. Actually if you're 58 or almost and hubby is 65, that's really not that bad. Why do I think or shall I say feel more comfortable being with someone 8 years older than 8 years younger???? Weird.

I think it completely has to do with the two people and not an age. I've talked to men much younger than I and much older. At this point in my life, age 56, the older ones are much more "gentlemanly" and honest, but I wouldn't consider someone's age before talking to them, unless they were under 35, or so. I do have online "friends" who are 30.

Hi Grandmaof2! Long time no see!! Where have you been hiding? lol Seriously, you're missed on here! Hope your absense is for all the good reasons..... Now on to your discussion. I'd say it all depends on what you're interested in however, I'd start with no younger than 5 years and no older than 10 years BUT, it really depends on what you're interested in in a man. One that's a homebody or an adventurer? Sense of humor or serious? Animal lover or not an animal lover, short or tall and so on. So in essense, it's up to the individual. Who knows? The person, be it man or woman, may fall for someone that's a total opposite.

Thank You for your response. I just can't believe how everyone is so good to me. I need to slow down on hobbies and give myLot more of my time. I think we just get in a rut. I have had bad health issues and being overweight has done nothing for my self esteem. What Self Esteem??? I need to smarten up my friend. Thank You for your response.

Let me tell you something Grandmaof2, you're a good person!! No, you're a GREAT person! You've done really nice things for so many other people that most wouldn't even consider doing but you didn't think twice about it, you did it. That says a lot about a person and what you did says that you're a really great person!! So why are you so hard on yourself? So what if you're overweight! Who isn't? The society that we live in today contributes a lot to that fact. Health issues is another reason our world isn't right because of the invironment that we live in, we're catching diseases that weren't around before. So that's not your fault! Besides, it's not the outer beauty that counts. It's not the outer beauty that makes a person who they are. It's the inside that counts and it's quite apparent you have nice insides!!

I 29 and my guy is 65. If I can marry an older man, and older woman can marry a younger man, as lOng as both are above the age of consent.

I am 61 and been married since I was 20. I've had conversations in jest over the years about dating. For me, it would be too difficult. I can't imagine starting over with anyone else. I can't even imagine going on a date. So I am no help to you at all. But, I would think a man within 10 years of your age would be alright. Much younger and I would wonder what he is looking for.

If it's a true meeting of the minds, what does age matter?
Also, do you think a 60 year old man would stop to wonder if that 20 year old was too young for him?

Thank You for your response. It's so hard to know what to do these days. Sometimes I think I'd just be better off to be alone but I really don't think God meant for us to be alone somehow lol. Then I think maybe I'm a buggar for punishment lol.

Well, for a woman that is an interesting thought. I am Happily married, and hoping that I will always will be. Back before I met my husband I had the chance to date Men older and younger than me. Most of the time the younger ones were not ready enough for more of a relationship, so that is why I married someone older.
My mom had a chance back when she was still alive to date someone around my age. It would have been awkward, but he was a nice guy. We did try to encourage it, but she was scared too, and so it never happened even though they were close friends.

I am a 54 year old woman and single again. I am still looking for mr. right, even at my age. Some people laugh at me for it but I think I am still young and I still want love and a relationship. I don't want to live the rest of my life alone.
I would date anyone of any age except no one younger than my son. My son is 36 years old and I have been hit on by men younger than that when I go out to the bars and am all dressed up, young looking, as my daughter picks out my clothes for me.
I would like to find a guy around my age though. Someone settled in life and almost at the age of life to think about retiring. Maybe around the age of mid fifties. But I would still date someone in their late 40's but not much younger than that.
Cheers and happy mylotting ,
Chris

I'm honestly feel at the age of 29...dating someone younger than me id just wanna give em a smack and tell them to grow up a little. I might however appreciate the younger man a little more when im 60!
I did date one guy younger than me...he was alot more mature than most guys at that age though. One guy 2 years older than me...and i tend to be more attracted to men about 10 -15 years older than myself.
