Hello! I am interested in starting a blog but I'm not really sure what I want it to be about. I work at home as a medical transcriptionist and I am also a consultant for BeautiControl. I am a Christian and very much a family person and everything I do revolves around those areas in my life. If anyone could give me some suggestions I would greatly appreciate the advice.

I started blogging at http://estherlou.wordpress.com/ a couple of years ago. I started blogging just to write more often. I dabbled in poetry and wrote articles on helium.com and wanted something more. I did not worry about a central topic of my blog. I write about interesting news I hear about, politics, thoughts or rants of the day...anything I might find curious and of interest to others. I have greatly enjoyed my blogging. Have fun.

Thank you so much for your response! I looked at your blog and it is very good! :) I might try something similar to that. Does it cost anything to start a blog with WordPress? I wanted to use a sight that is free. Thanks again for your help :)

Wordpress.com is free to use. You can pick the look of your blog and design it how you like. Give it a try. And when I had done it enough to start to want readers to actually read my blog, this is what I did. I started reading other blogs every weekend on topics that interested me. When I found one I liked I would subscribe to their blog. They usually take a look at mine and subscribe to mine. So, I learn more about writing by readings others blogs, and I end up with more readers. A win-win situation.

Hi SheliaLee!
I started a blog http://passionateaboutpets.wordpress.com about six months ago on WordPress and am loving it. You can see from the name I chose that it was going to be all about pets, but I have found that to be too restricting, so although pets is my theme, I now write about other things as well.
Choose your blog name carefully as that url is forever. I'm stuck with the url, but you can change the name of your blog within WP, which is what I've done (changed it to Barbara Taylor's Blog).
Read other peoples blogs and subscribe to those that interest you and you will soon have some followers on your blog. We have a great community of blogging buddies at WordPress - and it is free!

hii, greets to you. ok,if you're interested in blogging and you love family, maybe you can make a blog about your family, put the picture you like, share anything you love there regarding family. You can make a simple blog.
