I have to turn off my cell phone this morning

I just don't have enough sleep, and today is Sunday morning, I definitely want to sleep late, and I want a peaceful sleep all morning. While the cell phone is ringing from different people this morning, I just want to cover my ears and pretend not heard any of the ringings. They left messages, about something that is not important, such as going to lunch today, or do you receive my latest email or check the facebook comments etc..... Oh gosh, enough for me to worry about those miscellaneous trivia. I just want to sleep since Friday night I didn't sleep much. And Saturday I have to work and get my car fixed, enough to wear me down. I need a peaceful Sunday. So, the extreme measure for me is to turn off my cell phone, and I don't want to worry too much. Would you do the same if you are in my situation?

Turning off your cell phone for sleep i not exactly an "extreme measure" to take. Other people can wait but sleep can't.

It's a choice to keep the cell phone on or off. It's a really good button to turn it on or off. It has happened, when I was tired or was to busy I keep the cell phone off. I have an answering machine who pick up messages if someone would bother leaving me one. I think it is only human to need time and space for one self from time to time. Everyone needs it.

Haha we all have our ways of course and I also do that if I do not need anyone to bug me and to keep on texting and calling me especially if it is my rest time.

When I am sleeping my cellphone is without sound and without vibration. It isn't hard to set this if you are annoyed of phone calls when you are asleep.

i put my phone on silent everytime i sleep. i know it is not advisable because an emergency might come up and my cellphone might save my life but sometimes people from other parts of the world forget the time difference and call me at odd hours for nonsense things. my sleep is more valuable than chitchat.

It is really annoying when you don't want the phone calls but people just don't understand, especially your girl friend. She will call at the time when I asked her to not call me. I sometimes feel like she do this to annoy me deliberately. Then I think that she will not do this deliberately. I think the best thing to do is to switch off the phone.

I don't blame you one bit for turning it off. I would do the same thing too. I just put mine on silent though and leave it in another room so I can get some rest.

Fortunately, I don't have that problem, because I am not using cell phones when I am at home or in town. I carry along a cell phone only when I travel out of town. That's when I need the cell phone to keep in touch with the people back home and back in my work place.

Its so annoying for a phone to keep ringing when you are in relaxing mood or tired and in need of sleep. However I prefer it to be ON all the time, in this case would turn it into silent mode or flight-mode so that whoever that call will be registered under missed calls- as the easy way to choose who to respond to later.

I also hate it when my phone rings in those moments when all I want to do is just relax.. I also take moments where I just switch my phone off, cause most of the time it really is just meaningless stuff that people are saying like in your case! I think its good to take a break sometimes and be out of contact for a while, because you also need time to rest and recuperate without being bugged by people constantly!
