Just curious if homosexuality consider a sin or wrong in other culture and religion. Which culture is more open and accepted in?

that depends on what you believe. If you even believe in sins then pratically everything is now a days .. what I dont get is if god is so forgiving and has a big plan for all of us. then why did he make some gay and say it is bad. But if he is forgiving, then it doesn't matter. You cant choose who you love.

You absolutely can choose who you love. Love is a choice.

Well, they say San Francisco is the gay city... LOL! To me, there is nothing wrong with homosexuality, but some people see the end of the world in it...

homosexuality is a sin in my point of view the reason behind is god or supreme power has created this beautiful world the realationship man and women considered to sacred it is life long relationship.why the god has created men and women there is some reason we r not here break natures law.we hav seen in the past we break law of nature what results has been came out.Nature is nature we cant change of beat him.do what ever want to do but dont break the law nature.we r here perform our karma so we hav performed we r not here the break any law of supreme.if we break the law what happened next i think u all hav experniance and
maintain sacred relationship of men and women

its a sin from the point of view that somebody says its a sin (whoever that somebody is)
its not a sin from the point of view that, if you practice it you don't endanger, offend, or hurt anyone or anyone's feelings (like murder or rape for instance)
I think sin is a relative term and out of context can lead to many dilussions. And I also think this post is so 90's
And for the record - I happen to be straight and most gay people I met I disliked - not because they were gay but because I'm a jerk.

no of course not, but some think it's a sign of the devil. which is quite silly when you think of the real evil that exsists in this world.

I saw a simliar topic, but the guy was seriously messed up & just wanted to bash people.
But homosexuality is part of one's genetic make-up. Back in the 60's (I think, I'll have to look it up again). A boy had a blotched circumsion & completely lost his p3nis. A doctor talked his parents into raising him as a girl. The doctors alternative motive was to see if the boy could be successfully raised a girl & if so he would be able to prove his theory that homosexuality was a learned trait. The boy however, did NOT prove his theory, even dressed & told he was a girl he still behaved as a boy thus proving gender identity is a genetic not learned trait.
Eventually the boy found out he really was a boy & had an operation to reconstruct the part that was damaged.
The doctor falsified his work & called the experiment a success. However the boy gave an interview and blantantly tore the doctors research apart.
The reason I gave all this information is that since it was proven to be a genetic trait, it would be like saying to be born with a different colored hair/skin/eyes/etc that desired or seen as perfect is also a sin.
So my personal belief is nobody is perfect, but that's okay, and from a religious view - GOD LOVES ALL HIS CHILDREN. So why do we as socieity as a whole try to pick each other apart?
I'll look for the link I saw & posted on the other thread. And list it here.

Homosexuality is far from a sin. From what I understand it isn't a choice. I think gay marriage (as previously mentioned in another discussion) is a sin and it should not be allowed under any circumstance. A civil union should suffice because it gives the same benefits of a marriage without the religious aspect.

I wouldnt say it was a sin, I like to say to each their own, just leave me out of it, and dont hit on me and I have no problem with it.
BUT as I believe some people are born with it, I also believe some poeple develope it, its hard to explain why I think that, but my uncle claims he is gay and never was before, until something tramatic happened to him. but no, I dont think it is a sin, I dont really believe in sins anyways.
