Humidity and laptop keyboards

I know I started a discussion on this earlier, but I decided to bring it up again beacuse I'm sitting on my laptop right now and it's doing some weird stuff. Last night it rained about 5 inches+ here in MPLS and my laptop's keyboard was not working AT ALL this morning - as far as when I was trying to type something up. It kept entering, tabbing, and rearranging what I was typing. It was weird. I was hoping I didn't get it wet (I've already ruined ONE laptop like that), but I just turned it on and it's apparently working FINE - EXCEPT - It's almost like someone keeps hitting the F11 key (making the page a full screen and back to normal screen again) - every few minutes it does this. I was talking to a co-worker about this and she said maybe it's just the humidity in the air that's doing this. It's also throwing in random punctuation here and there but that doesnt' bother me too much (it might bother the punctuation police though. lol.) I think this is probable, don't you? Has this ever happened to you? Should I stick my laptop in front of the de-humidifier?

I have not come across such problem in my almost 5 years use of laptop. A lot depends how you are using the keyboard. Generally there is a membrane sheet which has the printed circuit on it. The life of the membrane sheet depends on the way we punch the keys, soft or hard. The cleanliness also affects the functioning of the key board. External humidity may not be so much of consequence but if you are working by the side of a window or out doors while it is raining, some droplets may find way on to the keyboard, which in effect may disturb the functioning. If you feel that is the case you may dehumidify or just leave the laptop for a while under a fan for it to get rid of any moisture that may have gone in.

Honestly I've had a problem like that before, and it's almost always because of the keys themselves getting stuck. Might I recommend cleaning your keyboard before you stick it in front of the de-humidifier? Also, you might want to keep your computer away from windows and places where the rain could get to it.
