the budda is the best player and vvs budda was the best batsman in WI. Greg Chappell try kick our greats and got kicked instead , lol. with age u slo doun but if performance help win match or svae team then no harm. there ano jawan to replace buddas so wait ok for another budda like dravid or vvs if luky you get gud or waste player like yuvi nad srisanth wat gud do chappal(funny name)you tell, he point finger at croud in kolkota and luky they did not shov it in his mouth, great esacpe chappal boy, dont do again.

I think his biggest contribution is that he was so divisive that he actually managed to unite the players against him. This resulted in the team becoming a more cohesive unit and thus were able to achieve more success. The only talent that he really brought forward was Suresh Raina!! Cheers! Ram

I am also not agreeing with that Creg Chappel make our Indian team great. I think this person make our Indian team very poor. And if you see on Chappel coach history about Indian team then you will find that Indian team had won very less series in his coaching. But I strongly want to say that this person gives chance to many younger players and now we have Suresh Raina the most emerging player of Indian cricket team.

I think you are boosting too much about Mr. Chappel. It is obviously disruptive thoughts you have got about the So called Buddhas of Indian cricket team. You talk about the same Rahul dravid who performed again and again to lift the Indian cricket team from crunch situations. You say that Saurav Ganguly is a mediocre cricketer, but I think you forgot that He started bringing the young cricketers into Indian Cricket team well before Greg Chappel took the responsibility of coaching. How can you forget the likes of Mohammed Kaif, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and many more who were tested by Ganguly and John Wright. I think your discussion doesn't hold the weightage because you can't always ignore people's achievement while reviewing their part in the Indian Cricket Team. Thanks

I fully disagree with your comment and believe that Greg Chappel tried to destroy Indian cricket. How as a coach can you end up crfeating controversies amongst the players and also try coaching them at the same time. How can you expect to work with the same guys you are trying to kick out of the side. May be Dravid and Laxman due to their slow playing nature as not accostomed to playing ODI's but the method adopted to drop these guys was not correct by creating a rift in the dressing room. The playing guys will just not play well due to there things in their mind. Moreover it is the guidance of Gary Kirsten and captain Dhoni who have got the team together and have extracted the best from the players and they choose the players on the basis of current form and what this does is that it keeps each player active and also worried about their place in the side in case they do not perform well. The era of Greg Chappel was a disaster in Indian Cricket..
