Is your body a work of art?

At one point, I had five holes in my ears, plus the cartliage pierced (that one hurt). Now I am lucky if I remember to put earings on..LOL. I love tatoos, and will also stare at people's tatoos. I also will go into tatoo places and ask if I can watch. The funny thing is that I don't have any tats myself. I have always wanted to get one but I keep changing my mind on what I want. I guess I will be a senior citizen before I ever get one!

I enjoy looking at tattoos but I don't like huge tattoos or all over ones...like a full leg or arm covering. I like the simple piercings too...not the brow, tongue, lip or belly button piercings, just simple ear type piercings. A nose piercing is OK if it's tiny.

HI missybear, I had my first ear piercing when I was 12 years old. That was the only piercing that i have. I actually wanted a piercing on my belly button but a report I read on the newspaper which says a girl had her whole stomach pulled out by the seat belt in a car accident because the seat belt caught her piercing. It set me back. I always wanted a tattoo because i felt that it is cool. However, people around me are telling me that I should not do it and that i will definitely regret it should i have done it. Still, i would very much like to have one even though i am worried about the pain. Is having a tattoo painful?

I personally don't like tattoos at least not on my body, it doesn't bother me a bit to see it on others, again that's their body and some people enjoy it. I personally like to see them as well. As for piercings I have had a few. I have the traditional ear piercings (which I got when I was a baby) and then I got piercings in the ear right above the first ones. I have also my tongue pierced, but I only had that for about a year, as soon as I found out I was pregnant I immediately removed it.

hi, actually i dont like a person who have many piercings in body while having tattoos in body will give to me more attraction but still it will depend upon the kind of tattoos in body,because i have seen some tattoos that is not really good to my eyes.

I don't want any tattoos on myself since I know they are habit forming. Most people if they get one have to have more and I wouldn't want lots of tattoos on myself. If I had one I know I would want more because of all the different kinds of art varieties I like. I don't see nothing wrong with other people doing it though.There is some really nice tattoos that some people have. I don't want any body piercings on myself and some of them I see on other people look okay and some of them look gross to me but even the gross ones I don't say that the person is gross for wearing them because that is something they like and everyone likes different things.Just like I might not like some styles of clothes but some people might like them. Everyone likes different things. That's what makes us all different from one another. This is a very good idea for a discussion because everyone has different thoughts about different things. I don't like to judge a person by what they look like but by their actions but I'm not going to judge them religiously no matter what because their is only one judge in a situation like that and that is god . Hi missy! You are one "brave woman"!lol I got my ears pierced 4 times, both ears! One of them was a "screwup" and the last one was the worst. The jeweler who pierced my ears lied to me about the studs being "14kt" and gave me "surgical steel" which I turned out to be allergic to and was in pain for 6 weeks and scared to take the damn earrings out! When I did I felt better almost immediately! I should have sued the azzhole! As for the tats, never got one, but always wanted one. Didn't get one because of a "religious thing" and now am not into religion, but am too damn old!

I love tattoos. Piercings I don't find terribly artistic, although they are just as much an expression of the person as anything else. Your story reminded me of not one but two separate women I saw last week. Completely unrelated women, I saw them on two different days in two different places. Both were in their sixties and had tattoos on their upper arms. Both tattoos looked older, faded, stretched with age, not like they had just gotten them in the recent years as they have become less "taboo" but definitely like they had gotten them in their much younger years. I was very impressed by their moxy and courage to show them off...and to have gotten them done in the first place. People like that I think might have some interesting stories to tell. I have four tattoos and no plans to stop anytime soon. I have another five plotted out, just need the money.

Maybe it is for that i am from a very conventional country ,i don't feel like looking at tatoos on people ,especially on girls .They even make me uncomfortable .When watching American TV-series ,it doesn't bother me to see colourful tatoos .Sometimes i even think girls with tatoos are pretty sexy . The reason of it probably lies on the cultural background .Have a nice day !

I have ear piercings a few days after I was born. For female babies we usually have their ears pierced. Piercings n other body parts like tongue and navel scares me. I have new tattoo on my right shoulder and I'm happy about it. I hate looking at dirty tattoos, those done by a not son good artist and doesn't suit the person well.

I'm not against people who have tattoos or piercings, some are nice to look at, maybe it depends also on how that person carry themselves with it, but for myself, I don't want to have tattoo, I have ear piercing and just that, I'm really afraid of needle and scars.
