What are your thoughts on child caregivers?

I work in the child care profession. I have learned in my experience that a lot of people have different views about this. Some really believe that we make a difference in the lives of children and also their parents. But, I have also learned that their are many people who believe that we do not make a big difference, that we are JUST daycare employees, or that we dont care, we just do it for the money, or lots of other things. I have very strong opinions about this subject, but, before I share them with all of you, I would greatly appreciate hearing what your thoughts are on the subject? Feel free to be totally honest, I want true answers. Thank you.

I have been a sitter/nanny for nearly ten years. I believe that we absolutely make a difference in the lives of children and their parents. I still remember my caregivers from when I was a child. Sometimes I believe that their care and love kept me from making some bad mistakes in the future. As far as being a nanny myself, I am still friends with a few of the parents. I had coffee with one of them today and I still visit some of the kids I used to watch. I am currently looking for another nanny position and believe I'll continue doing so for the rest of my life. For those who believe that we are in it for the money, they have not been a childcare giver themselves. It takes a a lot of hard work and sometimes even some heartache to take care of someone else's kids and I only do it because I love kids with all my heart and can't imagine doing anything else. I can only hope that at least some of these kids will remember me some day.

wow... that's a wonderful profession... it's not bad to care for a child or children, even some people thinks its a simple task but they're wrong.. let say that there are a lot of children out there looking for a care that parents couldn't becoz they're too busy or something... and don't make stress JUST to this profession it's not a JUST if you take this a serious matter... :D well in some point, let say some people do this for money or whatever unreliable reason but still your giving a good impression to a child you care of and in that little things could change their life like for example.. avoiding them to make a bad things, right? so why you come up with this kind of topic? this is a good one... :)
