It has been a while since she has had her op and now that she has no prolapse problems she is great and back to her happy self, all i can say is that she no longer has to walk about with what looks like a lamp shade on her head.Thankfully she is fighting fit and my bank balance is also doing ok after over £300 spent on her, bless her.As you can see by the photo that is how she looked and now no lamp shade and all healed up.

I am happy your dog is well, I know they all hate that lamp shade, but it does keep them from licking where they shouldn't. Worse than a dog with the lamp shade is a cat worse off. It totally destroys their ability to jump up and down
so any time we have had to use that our cats would just sit and scream until we lifted them up or down. Poor things

My cat is going to the vets this week to get spade, so i am sure she will not be all that happy about it.Lets hope all the tom cats get bored and go back to their own homes, rather than trying to get in here to eat the food and flirt with my cat, who is just not interested in them.

Hi Jugs. Glad to hear you dog is doing better now. Cost a lot of money to keep our pets (babies) in good health but it is all worth it because they are part of our lives too. It is like having a child that will never grow up. Don't you just love them to pieces! Thank God your baby is all better!

She is great now, she looks really so much better without that lamp shade on her head. After the op she got milk build up as her body thought she was pregnant, the vet laughed as we at one stage was asked to breed from her and we had thought about it, so instead she ended up having a phantom pregnancy.

aawe, I'm glad she is doing much better. II know about that bank account going down with vet bills. I had one with cancer. He cost me over $800 a week, bless him. He was my baby and I do miss him.
I'm glad you still have your girl.

yep, she's doing better now. That's good. She will lose that extra weight in no time.

The vet said that she is still a bit over weight, but that was down to her not being allowed to play for two weeks while she healed, as well as she had a phantom pregnancy and was eating more, which did not really help her much as well. She is now running off all the weight with the children playing with her as well as the other dogs.

Hi jugsjugs, I am so glad to hear that your dog is feeling much better. I watch the programs on telly about vets taking care of sick dogs - operations etc. They are very professional and do great work to help our little friends. I just got my self a small dog - I hope she will be healthy all her life - but you never know what life have in store even for our loving pets.

hi jugsjugs never thought of that but sure we are animals and get
prolapsed wombs so of course a doggie could get one. oh I know how she felt as I had to have a hysterectomy because after my second child in 11 months my womb was not only dragging but torn too.So I was miserable and so she must have been . I am glad she is all well
now. I had to have two different surgeries to clear it all up as after the hysterectomy my bladder wad dragging too so had to have it tucked back up where it belonged.so I have an idea of how the poor doggie must have felt. wow.

I never even realised that dogs could get a prolappsed womb until my dog got one.Even though the vet said that she was not in any pain i still had her sorted, as i would not want to walk round looking like that or have something there that irrattated me.

She is a golden labrador and she had a prolappsed womb. She looked like she had a football popping out of her back end.She did look a sight, but she looks great now and is back to her happy self. The best thing is even though the vet said she was not in any pain and it would go back in at the end of each season, i still had her sorted as i felt it was not nice for her.

haha, lucky owner with a lucky dog ^^ SHe has a blessed life with such a owner like u ^^ There are many cases of owners abandoning their dogs upon learning their dogs being unhealthy or with some kind of ailments, looking ugly and whatever. It actually pains owners to dig into their pockets for treatments, but strangers are often more willing to pay when it comes to strays. Isn't that weird?
So i must say u really love your dog alot

She is great and she has got a new lease of life, as all she has to do now is lose a bit more weight. The vet is really pleased that she has recovered fully and even though she is over weight she is still really healthy and got a bill of good health from the vet.

Good to know your dog is better! Dogs and cats look funny when they have to wear the cone! My friend's cat had to wear one for a wwk after she was spayed. I heard the cat was bummping into things and spent alot of time sleeping! Apparently it screwed up her senses! Maybe it did with you lab too! Anyway glad to know she's back to normal!

My cat is getting spayed in two weeks and she will have to wear one, lol, should be fun, as she is like a kitten at heart and nothing stops her getting into trouble. My cat has to be spayed early as we keep getting a tom cat popping in to see her and even when nursing her other kittens she fell pregnant again, so they are spaying her when her kitten is 3 weeks old.

What a beautiful dog that you've got. I'm also glad to hear that she is feeling better after her operation. It really does amaze me the extent that people will go to for their pets, and I know this because I've done the same thing for two of my pets. The thing is, they are just like another member of the family to me. I've always had dogs throughout my life and added cats to the mix last year. I know that as long as they live with me, I'm never alone.

I am glad your dog is doing okay and is in full recovery. It is hard seeing our babies sick. My Bandit was quite sick this weekend but now she is back to her usual self. Hope she will be healthly for years to come.

She is what we call my daughters dog, as when ever my daughter is here she follows her every where including the loo, however she will run if my daughter runs the water in the bath.I hate to see animals that are ill.Even though the vet said she was not in any pain we still had op as in the future it may cause her problems, so it was to really prevent her pain for the future.

YOur dog is blessed to have u by her side when she's at her vulnerable moments. U saved her life and took away her pain. I'm sure she will be royal to u, protecting u to her utmost best. There are not that many owners like u in these days and times. U ought to be commended and be made a role model for all others to follow. U deserve my respect.

Such a beautiful dog you have there. She must be so happy feeling so loved by her master. I'm happy for you that she is okay now. I also have a labrador retriever here. She is 4 years old and she is brown. We love her so much too. e sent her once to training so she would behave. But now she is spoiled again and doesn't want to be with other dogs because she gets jealous. I hope your dog isn't.

I wish more blessings will come to you because you're a kind person. You love your dog much as you love yourself. Spending 300 dollars aint a joke. But, dont worry, you will gain twice the amount that you have lost because of your kindness.
