This is something that i regret the most...my daughter had a bladder problem, she complaint of painful urination recently, i thought its only a case of UTI so i made her drink a lot. Gosh! when i found drinking a lot didn't work for her...i brought her to the clinic and found that she got imperforated hymen. Her enlarged uterus pressed on her bladder{ i made her bladder full by making her drink!)That is surely very painful!!
I feel so terrible, until now... She is well now after she undergone a simple operation on the hymen to drain out her mensuration blood.

By the time she felt pain, you shouldn't make unscientific prediction on whatever that cause the problem. You should seek the doctor immediately. Because you aren't qualify to be a doctor, and you might bring more pain to your daughter. Thank God, she is okay now. So you learn your lesson.

I agree. When it comes to health concerns, especially with your loved ones, it's not right for you to assume what to do. It's better for you to be sure, and seek consultation from the right people.

Yes, i learn a very good lesson through this, if we want the best thing for our kids then we need to be very careful on every move and never never assume on something that we're not good at. It's good to see her happy and well... as if she don't know i was the caused of her pain....

fortunately, i haven't and i hope i will never do that to my love ones... when it comes to health, i never dare to make any judgement as i am not a doctor... i always suggest my family members to go and see a doctor whenever they have health issues... i think it is better and safer as i don't want to put their lives at risk... take care and have a nice day...

it must have been very painful for you to know that your loved one suffered because of you. i am sad to read your story. at times, we wanted to help and ease the pain, but in our desire to do so, we inflicted more pain to the one we wanted to be well. i experienced this too when i wanted to help my father who experienced difficult breathing. i made him lie down. it was a stupid thing to do.

I am sorry to hear that your daughter will undergo such operation.
I know it is always painful for us to see our loved ones suffering due to our negligence.
but,we don't have any control of all things..so don't blame yourself too much.
Hope everything will be fine :)
have a good day

Oh my that is so sad. But it wasn't your intention to do that. You were just thinking that you were helping her out. Sometimes it really pays to go to the doctor instead of self-medicating.
My husband and i always argue whenever our son get sick because he's fond of self-medicating because he's a nurse. But I just don't feel confident in him and i feel like i'm depriving my son proper medication. So i always call his pediatrician whenever he's sick or feeling a little unusual.

I've also caused pain to those that I love. Frankly, I was a pain in the @ss then. They were always pulling their hairs out when I was a kid. I was always somewhere they never wanted me to be and I always got punished because of it.
