I love writing.. I surely do!
But as of now, I just can't define the area/expertise/category I belong in field of writing. Am still in the stage of looking for it myself!
*sigh*

Ilove writing too... there was one workshop i attended to before. They gave us random topics and I always get what I hate- politics. I ended up with unfinished write ups after tge given time. Then I complained, told him why can't we just have the selection of topics and just choose what we love and write what we are good at? Then he answered...
"Real writers can write about anything. Real writers don't choose what to write. Writers don't just write for the sake of writing. Writers find a way to love every single topic they write about."
I agree. You don't have to really focus on a particular thingor topic to erite. As writers we should not keep ourselves inside the box. We should not out limits on what we want to write. We have to look outside the box and explore...

i too don't have any really specific categories i can or want to write about. you can say i just write on a whim, when i feel like writing about something. my writing is good, i'm not satisfied, but i'm fine as it is.
i really liked what the best response(r) said about writer's not needing to have a specific genre or something. that really boosted my morale and confidence. for now, i'm just writing about dramas, animes, mangas, books that i've really enjoyed and would love to re-do them again in a blog. basically, you could say it's kind of like a diary hehe, that helps me see what i'd enjoy reading or watching when i've nothing to do.

Solution lies in ur starting to write whatever comes to your mind. It may be poetry, short story, articles, blogs , letters to the editor etc. Mostly for your age u will get short stories. U write and send them. Do not expect them to be published. You must try, try and try again.
best wishes

You are writing well. keep it up. concentrate more on areas where u are 100% sure. then take up other areas.

I have to agree with you about the love of writing. I myself do not know what area/expertise/category I belong in either. I just write when I feel very strongly about a situation or about some type of emotional loss like loosing a friend or family member or even a very good doctor and friend.

Like you I also want to write, but I don't know how to put what I think in writing, like its there when I think of it, but when I start to put it into writing, like all what I think just disappear. so maybe i'm not into writing right? but I wish I learn to write. I envy writers.

Just write anything that comes to your mind, your thoughts, your feelings, anything under the sun.....then slowly you will be able to write topics based on facts where you will need to do research to support your argument...you can also share some tips that you had proven effective....I think this is the best way to start for you to enhance your skill....later on, define what is your interest, then you can concentrate on that field....I am also on the same stage as you are now....i am just writing anything that comes to my mind....but now I knew what field I would like to concentrate....I love to travel and I'm dreaming to be a travel writer...it was such a pity that all my travel in the past, with all the places I've been I have not done any scribbling at all :(

Don't worry you'll soon find it. Just write what you love and before long you'll be able to figure it out. Good luck!!

Hello there! I like writing too. I use to write in a special notebook to unleash my thoughts. Some call it diary but I call it my journal. Because internet now, I seldom write in my journal. I want to try blogging to continue my desire to write again but I can't seem to collect my thoughts in a paragraph. When I was introduced here in mylot, I was so happy! This site is what I'm wishing to have. :) I am so glad to be here. It is like blogging to me.
I do hope you find yourself. What are you searching anyway? Do you have a job? What keeps you busy? I hope that your wishes in life will come true whatever it is. Pray for God's enlightenment.

Mylot gives you the chance to write whatever your mind wants you to express. But of course it has to be under their rules and with proper etiquette of doing so.
Reflect what you really want to write and you will the discover the answers to your questions.
Happy mylotting! (^_^)

Almost everyone loves writing most like to publish it via blogs,posts...
For writing amything you need to have analytical skills(you need to describe) what you feel or what you imagine or think about something..
so that whoever is reading what you wrote should be addicted to reading it.
you will make a pretty gud writer then. :-)
