This is so cool looking I had to share it. Have you ever seen anything like it? Or maybe you live in Hamburg--? Just thought I would share. Ever see anything like it?

That was creepier then I thought it was going to be. I too thought it would be.. I don't know a bit more Hans Christian Anderson I guess!

Thanks for sharing this great discovery. Wow, it is very amazing piece of statue in the lake...Very artistic people. But, it will look scary when it was seen in the dark. I think i will make a visit to this area, if given a chance in the future...

This is quite interesting. Actually if I was there I would be one who would want to go see it for myself just to get a good look. The creator and designer of this has really outdone themselves, and this is beautiful work.

That was really something and I bet people went out to look at it for as long as it was out there. LOL It's a nice gag to pull on people. Rather larger was it not? A certain conversation piece that's for sure.

Taking it out? I heard it was temporary. I was disappointed that it wasn't an actual mermaid but thought it was pretty interesting and wanted to share it.

I thought it would look more mermaid like! hahaha but it is a great sculture! I have never seen anything like it but think that it is a great use of space for art. I hadn't heard of the Artist Oliver Voss before now, i guess this is one way to get your name known.

I thought so too but it is nice. I think it is a great idea. I would actually have a mermaid done though. Haha

Yes, i saw the picture of the huge mermaid sculpture sitting in the lake in Hamburg with its monstrous head and legs sticking out, a couple of days ago in my newspaper.I wonder how the sculptor managed to do it and how many days he took to do it.People will do anything these days just to get noticed. I believe this sculpture is there only for a limited period.

I wonder why it would be for just a limited time. Where can a person take such a huge thing? Curious.

I thought so too. I think the title misrepresents what it actually is though. I would like to see a mermaid out in the water.

Ya, I was disappointed that they called it a mermaid yet it had legs not a tail.
