ahh looking at how things are going right now, with the economy and all... with the rates of school tuition etc...
Our parents can't afford us flanking any of the subjects and repeat them, right?
Just to ask, did you ever had to repeat a subject again in school because you failed it? =)

Never have I experience failing a subject when I was still studying. We are in a middle class family and you are right, it is really hard failing a subject especially when you don't have the money to repeat that subject. I really try my best to do good at school because I know how hard my parents worked for us to be sent all to school.

Hi chiyosan!
I never repeated a subject back when I was at school. Especially during college, I tried my best not to fail a subject. I had a scholarship then and I had to maintain a certain grade so that I will not lose the scholarship. I had to get a scholarship at least to lighten up my mother's spending on my college education. I was studying far from home so she had to spend also on plane fares whenever I went home. My sister was also still studying then and my other sister already with kids and dependent on my mother had no job. So I really had to take care of that scholarship. I was thankful I did not fail any subjects.

Education from 16 to 18 years old is free in my home country. At 16 years old I took my exams and got enough Cs to get into my course at the college. Then I studied Shipping and Transport. I then went to work as a children's nanny in Finland. When I got home I got a job as a container marketing controller for a shipping company. Sadly two years later I was made redundant. I could not find another job due to the recession. So I let my cottage, got a working holiday visa for Australia and get off traveling around the world.
I decided to become a primary school teacher. I had to repeat a subject I got a grade F in a school and it was Maths. I also studied an A Level English Literature. I was lucky to pass both exams and get into my university degree course. I had got a grade C in my Maths at the evening class before university. So I would say it is well worth repeating and subject to get a better grade or obtain a pass.

I have never failed in my exams in life, knock on wood. I did bad in some of my papers but haven't failed. I wish I did better than they are but anyway what has happened is done so I just have to be careful in the future.

I failed one class when I was in high school. And that was algebra. For some reason that semester I just couldn't get it down and ultimately ended up failing it. That was the one time I failed any class until I got in college and failed two more classes, history and English 102.

I actually believe that you're not a normal student if you don't flunk at least one subject. I must have flunked an entire course. I'm bad at math, and signing for a Creative Writing course, I fully thought that there would be no Math involved. After all, it's Creative Writing!
Lo and Behold. It just so happens that Mathematics, Biology, Zoology, Physics, Social Studies, English Literature, and your local Geography and Language studies are core parts of every single curriculum.
Unable to grasp this knowledge, I blundered through my first course, and ended up flunking Math. I had to retake it, which I failed terribly again. After that I had to shift to another course.
Thankfully, I've graduated. Maybe if I had to chance to do it all over again, I'd study harder in my Math subjects so I wouldn't have to go through it again.

Never because I never failed in any subjects. Semester tests yup but the end term exams never because I usually play hard at the early season and get focus to the study at the end of the term.So good result at the end of the year and I don't have to repeat any subjects. Anyway I never took any class tuition and just have school as my learning place because for me its tiring need to attend to extra class adn need to pay for extra money. Back to my school years I don't need tuition class as I don't like it.(^^)

I had a very hard teacher one year in American History. I needed it to graduate.
She was very bad at explaining things and then when she would review with us, she would then put in things we did not study or discuss in the exam.
I flunked under her.
I took it over summer school in 6 weeks. Think about it I had a really good teacher that I had to take the same course that was usually 9 months of school and in 6 weeks I pulled a B+ through the second teacher and many less weeks to relearn.
I sometimes to this day am a believer that a good or bad teacher can aid a child in learning.
Thats why when my son in his second year of high school begged me to homeschool him because he was not understanding the teachers, I pulled him out of school and was his teacher for 6 classes a day for 3 years, my son not only graduated he read better and his writing and spelling came so much easier for him.
I was scared to undertake such a job as history and music and health were my strong areas, but we made it through math, science and English along with my strong points, and he not only graduated, he came out with a 3.42 GPA which is very good for kids these days.

Yes I had. I never liked this History teacher I had. So I almost don't attend her classes. She was a good friend of my mother's. I knew she was reluctant to fail me and ask one of my friends to have me see her. Maybe she wanted me to fix something or have me do a project so I could pass. but I didn't go. So I failed. But I took her subject at a summer class in a different school.

I haven't failed anything at school, but I had to repeat one subject at university. I failed because I managed to get into car accident. Then I tried to walk with broken leg, but in the end.... nah.. I failed.. There was no way to reach the university (and the exam) on time so I gave up.. But strange thing was that I was not the only one that missed the exam, and others could rewrite the exam, and because of broken leg, I wasn't able to come 1 month, and had to wait for a year to repeat that subject (MacroEconomics)...

Hye I am new in this forum.............nice to meet you. Anyways I know how it feels when you repeat a subject.i clearly remember the time when i failed in maths and had to repeat it. i was feeling worse than ever and was feeling as if i was insulted in the whole school. But on the other hand I thought to myself that if i had got this golden opportunity to improve myself and get my respect back, then why to miss it?
So my dear fellow, I know that you might be feeling a bit down, but don't you worry everything is going to be alright only if you keep your faiths and determination high! Just chill dude!! Believe in yourself! i know you can do it!

Hi there, I hope you are doing well. I did repeat at least 2 subjects when in school. One I did not get a good grade in Chemistry and the other was was Algebra and Geometry. For Chemistry, I got a D and I'd rather repeat those to get a better grade on it.

I never repeated a subject or failed any subject in school. I can't afford to repeat another subject since my mom is the only one working back when I was in college. I see to it that I get the best result on my exams just to make my mom happy.

It depends on your future plan. If the failed subject is essential for your future plan, you should repeat it. If not, you can skip it. It's like when you wanna be economist, then now you should be great in economy, right? If it's your failed subject, then you must repeat it because it will be used in the future.

I always pass my subjects, I haven't experience repeating a subject in school. I would be embarrased if I failed.
I took my studies seriously. I'm not in a Dean's list or honorable mention but I'm always been on the cream section.
I think the hardest subject I took is Thermodynamics, luckily I'm able to pass it.
