I cried in my sleep today. I felt the tears. I dreamt of my grandpa. He passed away around the beginning of this year. I miss him loads. My grandma was never around coz she passed away when I was little and I don't have much memories of her. But grandpa, he was always around. I grew up with him. I have lots of memories with him. He used to tell me stories of his days, of grandma and many other stuffs. And actually he had been around more than dad had been, when I was a kid. Anyway I miss him so much, wish I could have a chance to talk to him again Grandpa I miss you Have you ever cried in your sleep? How's your mood/feeling after you wake up? Mine, I could not stop thinking of my grandpa and the dream!

Good day! I, Have experienced this thing as well before. But nothing to be alarmed for. To my knowledge it is a normal occurance for such an event happening. During sleep our minds would dwell on our subconscious thoughts, which might be happy memories or fears which we have.

Some dreams feel so real, isn't it? I have had this one dream when I was a kid and i still can't forget it. It felt so real. I hope it never comes true. And I hope your brother is fine :) Thanks for the share and have a nice day!

I had a dream once that my husband was leaving me and I cried out to him. Saying " are you just gonna leave me like that, Just walk right away!!" that was such a realistic dream that I often worry that it will come true one day. I still can feel just as I did in that dream. I was sitting on my bed and I was devastated!! I hope it stays a dream, and never reality.

I hope it just stays a dream too. I have had one terrible dream when I was a kid and I still can't seem to forget it. It was so real and I was as devastated too!! I hope it does never come true too.

It's not that i have cried in my dream. But yes i do see dreams that make me feel quite sad as they link to some event which was not pleasant.

Yes I wonder why some dreams are so that way. I have had sad dreams too and can't get them out of my head the whole day.

I have never been in this experience. However, I can understand you. I think you love your grandpa and you miss him very much. So, you dream about him. I believe that he love you very much, too. So, you don't cry. If you dream about him one more time, you'll be feel happy. Wish you the best!

@tkonlinevn: Yes I dolove him a lot, though he is not around anymore. I do hope he is in a better place right now and is in no pain or suffering. I hope he watches over us and blesses us always @joannaleed: Yeah I think dream is one medium that helps us connect with a departed one. I do hope I get to see my grandpa again, lots of times but I hope those dreams aren't sad ones

It happened to me several times but I can no longer remember the details, however it is true that as you wake up in your crying dreams you will find yourself with wet eyes and so much so a heavy load in your chest that you can not even take a deep breathe.

I think it has happened to me quite a few times too but this one is the recent one and probably the only one i remember. I do also remember this horrible nightmare I had when I was a kid and till date I can't forget it. But once I woke up I was relieved knowing it was just a dream.

I remember to have cried in my dreams on a few occasions. I got up immediately on those occasions. The fear of crying will persist the whole day of course. It was horrible to say the least.

Thanks for the response. As for me, the nights I cry in my sleep, the next day isn't so bad.

Sleep - Sleeping and dreaming
Yes I understand why you cried in your dream. I've had few experiences of crying in my sleep because of a dream too and when I wake up I'd continue crying specially if I saw a deceased loved one in my dream. I also noticed most kids do cry in their sleep. Mostly the reason for crying is not about deceased loved one but mostly a quarrel with fellow kids over toys and other petty things.

Hi, I hope your grandpa will come again and again in your sleep. Because you love him so much.He always remains in your subconscious mind. Dream is a stage of subconscious mind. May be once the memory of your grandpa will become fade. Surely you will remember. But then he will not come in your dream.

Yes I did have some similar experiences like that before when I was younger. I remember one which I haven't forgotten and that is when I dreamt my father was gone and I really felt the emotions and pain from loosing him and I really cried in my sleep. When I woke up, I was still like dreamy and couldn't recognize in a while which is reality and which is the dream. My father still lived longer years after that dream. Maybe I dreamt like that because of that intense fear of loss .

Yes, It do happens my friend when we think of the happy memories when they are still with us.I guess they are just giving us a hint to remember them always and you can do it by saying prayers for the soul of your grandpa or offering a mass for his eternal peace.

I do cry a few times in my sleep but not because I was remembering someone but most of the time its about emotional things/situations that might taken place in certain times. When I think about it too much I will recall back those memories and it will suddenly make me cry in my sleep. Honestly I don't like the feeling at all.

I don't like the feeling of crying in my sleep too. It just makes me sad once I wake up and can't stop thinking of my dream for about half my day Anyway I still love my grandpa visiting me in my dreams, just that hope the dreams aren't sad.

Oh thatgirl I am sorry to hear you have cried in your sleep over missing your grandpa. It has to be really hard to be missing him after you shared some lovely years with him. I have cried in my sleep and could actually say to myself, comforting myself somehow on how I knew it was all a dream. Wow it was so real and felt so sad at the time of the dream. I was not raised with my own family and though I have not seen my siblings somehow in my dreams I was amongst them somehow.

hugs for you my friend. my wife also have those kinds of dream when she dreams about her dad. a few weeks back she lost a friend from lupus and she also woke up with tears on her eyes when she dream about her. when my wife wakes up with tears she always feels sad but always tells me the story of her dream. i listen patiently and give her a hug. then she will be alright. then she will light a candle for them and say a little prayer.

That is so nice of your wife. I never light any candles, nor do I say any prayers, actually it never struck me. I think it'd be good if I start doing that too. Thanks for the share

I've cried whilst I was dreaming something very emotional. I'm a very sensitive and emotional being. Can easily feel comassionate empathy for others. In my imagination share there experience. I have for sometime now not dreamt any sad dreams. But it has been heartfelt dreams about loved ones or when I have degraded and humiliated by other people. Have a wonderful day!
