Its has been more than 2 months now since I renew my NBI Clearance. Their was a major problem that break out late June about renewing and applying in NBI. Many people are having difficulty in the premises of NBI since the contract between NBI and Application Vendor expired/lapsed. So how's your claiming of NBI Clearance lately? Did you also experience difficulty in claiming?

No, I have not experienced such a problem.I have renewed my NBI clearance long time ago and during that time I got the clearance within 3 hours the same day. Yeah, it's really sad to know the difficulty of getting clearance this days.I don't know if the contractor did it on purpose, maybe to show the agency that they really need their services. It's a pity what those people who wants clearances are experiencing right now.I hope our government can do something about it and soon.

In fact I have experienced once before when I get my clearance. It took me two days to have my records cleared because there is a fellow who have the same name as mine with criminal records so they told me to see the clearance head and it's good my name was cleared. It's really frustrating if you have the same name with a guy with criminal records.Have a nice day my friend.

That's good. It only means you have a unique name. Which the NBI System finds you NO HIT.

Good thing I did not have to endure that NBI process. I had renewed my clearance last year, and accidentally, I had get two clearance (Local and For Travel). Thus I had a spare one :)

Well actually, it is an honest mistake. I would like to have an NBI valid for travel abroad but I was issued with a local one. So I had paid for both. Take note that expiration is for a year's time only.

Hello syoti, that reminds me i should renew my NBI clearance this year. I think this default problem on their system has really caused problem for the applicants. long lines are still there no matter what happens. if i apply for a renewal not, it's gonna take me probably longer than you have because i got some similar names with people who have cases. but at least that's just for identification purposes when looking for a job.

my suggestion to you is to apply for an nbi clearance when you are required by the company you will apply for a job. i mean, if you will just get a clearance just for identification sake, it will only cost you time aside from the money. because, nbi clearance last only for 6 months or 1 year. so if you get one today and will not use, after the said period, you have to get another when you plan to apply

by the way, with regards to similar names with criminal cases, this is what you should do. gather the data of those cases. then you go to a lawyer and state that you are not the same person and you are not in the same way know the cases filed against that person. in short, you will ask the lawyer to make an affidavit of denial.

Hi i have a question, i applied for an nbi clearance last july 18,2012 at bulacan branch but then i got a hit on my name so i have to go back in 2 weeks to claim it which means on august 1. I wasn't able to get back that time since im at work. Now its august 13, can i still claim it today or my receipt is already expired? I was thinking that they might have disregarded unclaimed certificates. I hope they still have it there. Do i have to go over the whole process again?

Hi syoti! I applied for an NBI clearance last May and I was able to claimed it during that month, too. I guess they weren't experiencing any problems yet then. Thank God for that because I really needed that darn clearance for my employment. I did see in the news that NBI upgraded their system in processing clearances but it just made the process longer than the usual. I think it was because they were still adjusting to the new system. I felt bad for those who suffered because of this though. Cheers.

well whats new? there is always problem in the government that it takes month before they come up with solutions and sometimes years. i pity for the people who applied their NBI that the purpose is for work then this what happens. i did not apply for my NBI this past few months but i had a hard time renewing it before so i got the swipe card already. it is more convenient and faster. but i guess in times like this card will not give you justive if the NBI system has the problem.

I haven't renewed my NBI clearance yet. It's because I don't have time to get a priority number and line up to have my picture taken. My sister recently got her's and she really had problems. She went to get her priority number at around 4am, when she got there, there were already too many who were lining up to get their number as well. Her number got called at around 10am and from there on, it was already too easy. Just the lining for the priority number is not easy for some who can't get up early due to having jobs that end late in the evening or those that live in places far from the NBI office.

Oh I have no knowledge about this. Well they must fix the problem cause people cannot wait for long to have their NBI release as they are also pressured by the companies that needs the document. Or you talking about the main branch in Caloocan City wherein their office is located inside a commercial building?

I believe UN Taft Avenue is their Main Office. But in terms of NBI Clearance that would be in Caloocan.

It was so bad! I need NBI clearance to go back to my job. Last Monday, I went to the NBI office here in Bulacan. I came at around 9:30am. The office is in the 3rd floor of a building and the line of people was so long. The line was from the third floor down in front of the building at the ground floor. I went upstairs to ask for the requirements for renewing nbi clearance. The staff told me that there is no more renewal of clearance and that I should apply for a new one. Then he told me to come back at 4:00 in the morning, if I go at 6:00, I won't be accommodated anymore. I remember that I heard in the news that NBI goes back to manual processing of clearance because they are working on to have a new service provider for their computer system. I didn't take the 4:00am thing seriously and I came on Tuesday at around 6:20. It was true, there was a very long line in the sidewalk of the road. I didn't make it because only 150 people are accommodated. I came back last Wednesday at 4:00am and I was the 106th in the line. Thank God I finished it at 11:00am. I only got the receipt. The clearance will be issued on November.

I was about to renew my NBI clearance a week ago. I asked my friends and they told me that we have to fall in line as early as 4am in Robinson's Mall to get a clearance. When I went to Robinson's Galleria around 10am, the last number is already around 800+. So I just went home, now I'm too lazy to renew my NBI clearance because of these changes in their process.

This one's really frustrating. I already applied for an NBI clearance before but now I started the process all over again instead of just breezing by getting a renewal. I need it as a requirement for my new employer so I took a leave at work and prepared to go to SM Megamall. Then the NBI kiosk there was already gone. So I scheduled again for another leave at my work and this time I made sure that I am going to an NBI kiosk which is existent. I just hope that the NBI website will be updated of information. I went into the Ever Commonwealth branch and started to fall in line about two hours before they would accept applicants. There was already a long line but I think this is way shorter than what I saw on TV and what other people have been talking in the main office or in municipal halls. Anyway, only the first set of 300 applicants will be catered and good thing I beat the 12 o'clock lunch break by then. But still I haven't got my NBI clearance at that time because I got a hit with my name. I have to go back to the kiosk next week. I hope there would be no other problems that may arise on my claim for my NBI clearance. I already badly need it for my new job and I am a bit embarrassed now because I am the rate determining step already for the processing of my job application. The waiting time is really too long which is about 20 days. I hope they can fix the issues as soon as possible.

Luckily I did get my clearance the day itself since I already have an existing data. So even if I don't have my old copy, I went straight to their main office which is in Victory Mall and I got it without any hassles. The line is really long, but at least it is moving. The very people that will have a problem on getting their NBI clearance were those with duplicated names or has criminal records or names that has to be cleared by NBI. Do check their website also for the branches that is near your place so that you won't be having a difficult time. There are kiosks also in malls for those who wants to just renew their NBI but see to it that you have your old copies with you to avoid any problems.

I have not renewed my NBI clearance yet since there's no reason to. The last time I have it renewed was at NBI taft. Unfortunately, I have to return since my name has a "hit" but overall, the process is well organized. I think today, renewing an NBI clearance is a nightmare since you have to wait on queue for a long time and will have to wait for months before receiving the certificate. The main reason why this is so is because the NBI didn't renew the contract of the company that provides the hardware and software for the processing of the certificates. There could be politics involved since that company has been NBI's partner for 30 years. I can say that there's politics involved since if there were none there could have been a smooth transaction and the effect shouldn't have been as drastic. with the new process, it seems that getting an NBI is like going back to the jurassic age.

I’ve heard that news as well and I regretted it because I should have applied for it earlier months ago. I remember before that claiming an NBI clearance can be done in a few minutes. Unfortunately, the branch near our place has been closed and we have still to go to another branch which is farther. I’ve applied for an NBI clearance but would take a month to be able to claim it. Others complain that they took longer than a month to claim theirs. I just hope that I can claim it within the specified time.
