when you are a newcomer, have you asked members what mylot is all about?

this site has just popped out when i made a research a while ago... i had read some blogs and discussions and i was amazed that this site pays too. although i am not pretty sure if this site really pays, i will lose nothing if i give it a try. so when you guys were new, have you ever asked old members or i'd rather say the members on how everything works here?
also, if you are an old member, do you always give a hand to those newcomers here on this wonderful site of mylot?

Hi there and welcome to myLot!
When I first started I was interested in myLot but logged in daily and read, read and read. I especially read a lot of the responses/comments from the veterans of the site. Once I felt like I was at home here then I began to ask a few questions here and there in private messaging to several of the veterans that accepted my friends request.
It is because of them that I have remained here, as they did teach me quite a bit. Because of the great help I did and do receive here I am always eager to pay it forward with new comers.

Welcome to myLot!
I think that every new user sooner or later asks about something that they do not understand. I am wondering if you are going to ask or if you are busy reading everything in the FAQs and Guidelines
You have a lot of responses here now and I trust that you realise that you only earn for what you do here. You do not earn anything for the responses. Those who post them will earn for them but you can earn by commenting back to us and furthering the topic.
You will get back to us soon won't you?

Commenting is indeed what turns a topic into a discussion.
I cna see that you havebeen very busy on this one and you will be surprised tomorrow when earnings update. They update once every 24 hours and everything is done on myLot's time zone. You can see the time there byu looking at the clock at the bottom of the page. everything that you post up until midnight by that clock will then be rewarded in the earnings update on the following day.
Look forward to seeing youon other topics too and...
how about a profile photo (avatar) so that we recognise you easier?
You can go and fix it here:

Mila-grosa - yes I received payment for two consecutive months. But it requires a lot of time and concentration to make it. Much depends on your other works.
where are you employed and in which capacity? Will there be time for you to concentrate on mylot. For me I am a retired person doing wring as main job now.

Mila-Grosa - Mylot senior members helped me when I started becoming active from May 12, 2011. By now u would have received more responses.
Mylot pays regularly and I received two payments in successive months. You can earn more by participating more in discussions. You can also post photos, blogs and comment on them. You can take up tasks like writing etc. which will be available in tasks dashboard.
Please go through FAQ of mylot. We should not start discussions as A or B that is poll. We should write in English. We should not comment on the quality of English of others.
apart from that the more one participates one earns more.
You are from which country and what are you doing?

Hi there, as a newcomer at first I get lost in this site but I read a blogsite owned by a senior member who describes from A to Z about mylot, all the informations she provided is very useful for me and when I didnt understand something, I sent a private message asking for help and she helped me. So I think the senior members here are friendly. If we browse more we will find so many discussions about mylot and the users experience using mylot, if im not mistaken its under "mylot" interest section. And not forget the emails we received from admin when we registered for the first time, a welcoming email and short description or guidelines about mylot.

Mila_Grosa, I have been here almost since the site started, a few have been here longer than I have, so I really did not have anyone to ask. Some people come as referrals by others, and I surely hope their referrers help them. I did not have a referrer, I also just found MyLot. Almost every veteran user will tell you when you ask a question that you should be sure to read the guidelines, terms of service (tos) and frequently asked questions (faq) first, because a discussion does not count, and may be deleted, if it is just a question about something you can find for yourself.
I believe your question about "What is this site about?" is a fair one. MyLot is about meaningful discussion and participation. You do not get paid for us answering you, but if you look at this discussion, it will say "comment on this response" and you should do that. If you start a discussion, and it gets responses, you should comment back to the response, and it should not just be a thank you note. You are free to comment on other discussions, other responses, other comments. Just like talking in person to friends.
What is MyLot about--it is about communication and having fun. We learn about other cultures, other beliefs, and other languages, but all posts are in English.
MyLot is about community and you will see that if you come here often. We really care about each other, and encourage each other.
I see you saying that you are not sure the site really pays, I would suggest that there would not be members here for five years if it did not. Any time you have reached your minimum payout by midnight, MyLot time, on the last day of the month, you can count on receiving those funds on or before the 15th of the following month. Always happens.
So I would say, "Welcome to MyLot"come on in and talk with us, and have fun.

Hi AmbiePam,
Thankyou and with the mylot population now, I think I can understand that.. Olders should be stricter in order for the new members to correct us if we don't know our limitations, to guide us while we still don't know what we are doing; here on mylot.

Welcome to myLot!
I first started with myLot a few years ago, and I found it great that many people helped me find my way around the site. I have always appreciated that, and have always given advice to other people when I have been able to. Mylot is a great place to have disussions and often to find answers if you have other problems with computer or other things in life. I hope you enjoy participating in discussions and I hope to see you on here again.. _Derek

hey, first of all welcome to mylot ,it is a great site here you get paid only for doing discussions, generally starting discussion, responding on others discussions, commenting on the responses made by others on your discussions, this site is great here we get new friends, knowledge and money, even you can earn more with referrals, the best thing i like about the site is you are free to earn as much you want means no limit.so make more discussions and respond on others as much as you can.and earnings will shown on your account after 24 hours.
Happy lotting.:-)

Hi Mila,
Welcome to Mylot. Yes, most members that have been here a while are more than willing to give a helping hand. Still, it helps a lot if you read through the FAQs and guidelines first. That way you'll have at least the most common questions answered. Everyone is different but when I started here, I found that it helped to read through and comment on discussions that interested me and kind of get a feel for the site as well as to know some of the members. Hope this helps a little.

Yes, when people are new members here they start discussions, just like this one, to ask questions about the site. They don't really have to ask about the site, and neither do you, all you have to do is read the quidelines and other links to learn about the site.
But it's okay that new members ask questions because it is also a way for other members to have things to respond to so they can earn money also. As you only have a number 1 beside your name this is obviously the only posting you made and it has been 3 weeks so you found this is not your thing.
When I first signed up with mylot I forgot all about the site and I didn't post anything for about a year. And then I got an email from mylot and that reminded me that I became a member so I looked more into the site and realized that it was a good site. So hopefully you will be back some day and give this site a chance because you will see that it is a wonderful place and you get a bonus of actually getting paid for your input. The people here are great and you can make some really good friends, if you give it a chance.
Cheers and have a good day my friend,
Chris

Oh yeah! I have asked a few things too about certain features of this site. But most of the time I tried to read a lot of other discussions which contain my questions to save me from making a discussion out of it. Before I did join here in myLot, I made a research about it on the internet. I scoured reviews and a lot of forums to know if myLot is paying and what are their experiences with using the site. From there, I gained the knowledge I needed to be able to start. Then when I came in, there are a lot of friendly and informative veterans out here who will really try their best to help you out in the site. Really, I have learned a lot from the different individuals in here. Although, it really pays to read and be interested in the rules, guidelines, FAQs and discussions in here. Now, I also try to welcome the newbies and as much as possible try to help them out to have a nice stay in myLot. But yes, you can really get the best information about this site from the old, or should i say, most experienced members out here. You can just see them loitering around in here so you don't have to worry looking for them.
Welcome aboard and post away!

Hi MilaGrosa, I am a newcomer as well. I signed up about 2 weeks ago, I was referred by my friend to signup here. I didn't ask myLotter members about myLot or how to earn. I just keep exploring, reading FAQs and discussions on how to earn. I enjoyed learning from others and sharing my opinions too, and earning at the same time.

Hi there. welcome to mylot- a place that I am pretty sure you'll enjoy.
Like you, I am also new here in mylot. I just registered a week ago. Yes, as a newbie here in mylot I asked questions that I can't find through FAQ's.
But ofcoures, I suggest that you should read the FAQ's first before asking those questions. Though mylot members are very generous of answering every newbie's question about mylot. Enjoy your stay.. I'm looking forward for the discussions that you will be making.
