I feel somewhat shy to ask this question. Just now I joined twitter. I feel it very strange to follow up or to write tweets. I could not understands what these tweets. Who all are going to see this. Is this like a blog. If some one who are well versed in twitter could help me here?

You write these stupid short sentences called tweets that no one except you is ever going to read. Then you convince yourself that you have hundreds of friends and that everyone in the world is interested in your life.
After a few days or weeks, you realize that twitter is for complete idiots, so you go and make an appointment with your local psychiatrist instead!

Hello there, I joined twitter recently and I am still not getting what all the fuss is about. I am following a lot people and there are quite a few people following and I have also posted tweet, I have retweeted and also replied to tweets. But I still don't get very much fun from it. I may be missing something from it too. But hopefully in the near future it is going to get more interesting.

Twitter's just another communication tool. It's like putting updates on your Facebook wall - the people who see it are the people who "follow" you.
Depending on what you want from Twitter, there are lots of ways to use it. Personally, I just joined to see what the fuss was about (back when it was still fairly new). There's a lot of spam, a lot of marketing and a lot of all the other commercial crap that goes with all kinds of social networking but you'll soon learn to trim the fat, block the spammers and be careful about who you follow.
Since I joined, I've mostly just posted blog updates in case anyone's interested in visiting and random amusing stuff I read or that happens to me. I've made some good friends who've been really helpful (much like myLotters) with information, pointing me to things I couldn't find and - best of all - exchanging freelance work leads.
Yup, I've found work and clients through Twitter. Unbelievable. I've even pushed regular contracts to blogger/freelancer friends when they've been offered to me but were outside my interest (e.g. writing about football, which I don't like - but I knew someone who did and who is now blogging regularly for very nice pay for them!).
I've found a graphic designer for some book artwork, I've helped a guy get his business off the ground (and in return he helped me with some design stuff), I've got an editor lined up for my own book (and in return I'll edit his), I helped a long-term Twitter friend out of a tight financial spot (and got repaid with a bit extra and a huge virtual hug from her and her man)... it's a great way to build your own little community if you take the time to connect.
Other people use it for marketing (but I hate that). Other people only use it to promote their blogs (fine, but it gets boring without any personality). Other people just blab about what they're doing (which can be fun if you're interested).
It's pretty random and - like most things - it's as good or bad as you make it.

Your Friends and follower see your tweets.
If you have no friend and follower no one sees your tweets. If you you retweet at tweets of those whom you are following, they may see your retweet but these people are famous people but there is little chance to happen that.
Its not so good for common people, facebook is better one I think.

Twitter is not necessarily a bad thing .
But we should listen more talk less.
Feel it?

I joined Twitter about a year ago and never opened my account since then. Honestly I don't like it and I don't get it. Some people are really fond of this. I only followed my favorite artist and celebrities but I get tired of reading their tweets. I think Twitter is just for famous people to get connected with their fans. Or to those fans who wants to check the updates of their idol. If you want to post your status to your friends, I guess Facebook is much better.
