Because if it had been one then we both could have looked after one kid turn by turn but now when it is 2 then we both remain busy with both of them. When we go somewhere both of us have to keep one kid in our lap otherwise at least one would have been free from kid.

Hi sjvg
I have heard that too I am not sure of the reasoning or the logical facts but I have known one case where twins in the family are a trend. More so if both children are having the same gender. I forget what this is medically called but yes, there is ample proof of this. One more thing (if you can help me understand) - they also look out for twins when it comes to marriage of the twins. Would you go by this rule too?
btw I did know that you had twins.

We should have had this discussion at least 30 years back... or even at least 5 years back... I would surely have asked... anyone for me
Seriously, I love people who are left handed and twins. Though some say there are complications but there are compliations with almost all of us...

Yes dear there are complications i remember when my wife was pregnant i used to give her protein power mixed in milk daily at least 3 times and many other high nutrient food but then too when my babies were born my daughter had weight of app - 1.3 kgs & son had a weight of 1.1 kgs. They were looking as baby skeletons there was no flesh on their bodies. My son was kept in nursery for around 20 days under doctor's observation and there were less chances of his being survived but you know everything happens what GOD wants to happen and he survived and now he is of 3 years and is very naughty you won't believe when people used to see him now they just wonder to see him.
Does not matter now also you can do it just do investigations regarding this when you marry your children and really you can have these genes transferred in you family too.

Hello Sids,
Hahaha i will not for sure follow the rule because mine is daughter and a son and rarely i find twins of different genders.
I also think this is due to hereditary factor as there are many couples in my father's as well as mother's family having twins. But i am not sure if it is due to it.

No, you are a rich man, you don't have to worry about money. God will provide for you in any way.
I know it's not easy taking care of twins but the joy is there. So, enjoy them and be a good role model for them and they will grow up to be perfect.

Hello Jlyn,
Oh you knew it.
Yes i also think its in the genes and there are more chances that my brothers also will have twins.
Its always good to feel that i have twins but really friend it took lot of energy of ours to make them grow as it is very difficult for a couple to nourish 2 children of same age at a time.
Secondly there are some financial difficulties also like if you need to admit them to school you need to give donation of 2 kids together and if there were difference of age in my two kids it would have been easier for me to arrange money. This is just an example i don't mean to say that i don't have money.

Wow!! This is quite interesting that your elder brother has Twins and you are expecting twins. A lot of times this does not always happen unless there is a Strong gene of that type running in your family. It would be interesting to see when your other 2 brothers get married if they will have twins, but wishing you the Best when your twins do arrive.

Hi!
Congratulations! And I think that should be double congratulations! I think having twins in a family really runs in the genes. I've heard of families with generations of twin brothers or sisters. So there will probably a high chance that your brothers will have twins, too.

hmm..that is more to genetic. If someone in your family have twins you have chances to get twins as well. We don't have twins in our family and would love to have one but I am still single.. I think I should find someone who has history of twins in his family. Only then I can get twins children!!

My friend, it's not a coincidence that most of your family members have twins. It runs in your family so all of you should not be surprised to have a twin .
I think it is so enjoyable to have twins for your children. But, it's a double expense, when it comes to expenses in rearing them up.

You have such an adorable family trait! How i wish i can have like you in the near future.
However, let me tell you that it is not coincidence. It is the genetic characteristics. It runs in your blood that your family has twin genes. Therefore, it will be passed on to generations and through generations. How cool is that. twin characteristic is either fraternal and identical. So in your case that you have twin brothers, that is called identical and the children of your other brother is called fraternal.

Hi sjvg!
It is no longer a secret, eh? LOL, I have seen the pictures of your two lovely children. I have often heard that when one sibling has twins the others do not so you are right a very big genetic coincidence for you family. The way I understood it is that it skips a generation where one will have them then the children of your children could possibly have the twins.
Enjoy your large family, as I am sure it makes for a very happy time.

It is not coincidence but rather its in your genes. There are people who have the tendency to produce twins or more than that number. If you are about to get married as a woman this is one of the information that you need to get hold of that is if you are not comfortable with the thought of producing twins. Sometimes it may not affect a person at all and jumps into the next generation.

I guess having twins in the family is hereditary. I'm not really familiar with this but only as what I observed from friends and other people and also from my husband's family. Usually in a family only one or two siblings will give birth to twins. My husband is a twin. He has a twin sister but we don't have twins. His mom had about 8 siblings and only she was the only who got twins. My husband, next to him was a set of twins all girls, only one survived. Then according to them, his mom also had two miscarriages and they were twins too. According to some, my children may give birth to twins.

Hello pahak,
Oh that is perfect example of how genes have the major role in it.I hope thats the reason why we had it because there are lot of example of twins in my father as well as mother family and hope brothers,my kids or my brother's kids will have twins in their lives.

What a coincide indeed, but do you have the financial means to support your twins, the last thing we would want to hear is you taking your children to welfare because you can't support them. You won't survive on a mylot salary lol. Anyway children are a blessing hope you enjoy motherhood
