Buggies & Bars Don't Mix
When you are looking for a job, then decide to go for a refreshing alcoholic drink, don't leave your five year old outside. That goes double when it starts to rain on said your five year old outside. That's the sure way to jettison your resume.
Someone should have gave this advice to Sarah Lynn Cheek, 34, of Daytona Beach, Florida. She left her five year old daughter outside a bar in order to have a drink. Said pipsqueak got soaked when a rain storm hit. A kindly stranger called the authorities on the wet waif's mother.
'You won't believe what's going on over there.' Fellow patron of the bar Reed Roberts told the police, 'They've left a kid out in the stroller and it's starting to rain.'
When Cheek (and yes, that's a real name, not a joke) told the judge she was only job hunting, the judge was unimpressed. 'Ma'am, we're not trying the case today.'

This is not the first I have heard of a kiddo being left outside a bar this summer. Actually three people took their five kids with them to a bar, locked them in a van, and went inside and began drinking. Again, a passerby alerted the cops, the bartender was angry and said that if he had known they had kids outside they would have been booted out. Bar patrons took them water, bought McDonalds for the kids and social services came in as well as the cops. Also, not far from me a mom has been going to business college and leaving her eight year old in the car, keys in the ignition. She was not leaving him on campus, so the security guards never caught on. He would wander the neighborhoods looking for playmates, knocking on doors and asking for water, etc. I think that people are totally lacking in common sense, or the sun has fried their brains. They are missing a certain moral component that they should have.

Fortunately, despite what you hear on the daily news, the fact stand there are more good people than bad. You are right though, leaving your tot out like a soaked kitten is a bad, bad move!

Wow man the nerve of some people it really does make me sick. Another issue with that too would be gambling. I have been waitressing at a lounge before where we had to call the police on a gentleman that left 2 young children in a car while he gambled inside. It was extremely hot and no windows were open the children were drenched with sweat. The authorities came and the children were taking into custody and the man was charged adn arrested on the spot. It truly does sadden me just how sick some people can be and the way that the treat kids is just heartless

Heartless is what an addiction can do to a parent.
Not to mention plain old stupidity. People still can't get that cars can get hot in summer so they leave kids and pets inside them. It doesn't matter how many caution commercials are played, kids will cook in cars.
