HONESTY IN MEN "A pipe dream"

Why do guys feel the need to lie to women, even when it is most unnecessary. I am asking because a friend of mine have met two guys already this month and both asked her out, calling, texting and everything, but after a few dates with one guy and a plans for dinner with the other she found out one has a girlfriend and the other one is living with someone.
So please answer me this mylotters, why do guys ask a woman out if he is already involved with someone.

There are times that I caught my boyfriend lying to me. The lie is not a big thing though and he often asked forgiveness afterwards. According to him, there are times that he needs to have these small lie for me not to worry or get hurt. It is not a big lie like cheating though. For me, as long as he is honest and admit that he lied about something, that would be fine.

as a man, i know some guys who never have a girlfriend and i also know some guys who get different girls from time to time. For some unknown reason most girls attracted to guys who go out with different girls, and most girls never really see that other guys who never have a girlfriend. After a while those girl break up with that guy and feel that all men were dishonest.
