relaxing getting my hair done

The twins have been brushing my hair and I love it as it is so relaxing. But better I love when after having a shower in the evenings (so unbelievably hot) they massage lotion or cream into my feet. They each take one foot and I let them get on with it. Now this is a dream come true. My feet are usually swollen in the evenings and my ankles are puffy. Water retention as I have a little heart problem. It usually goes down overnight though. However the twins leave next Tuesday for the Middle East. I will miss them so much and miss their foot massages too

Hello 3SniggleBunnies, Yes I have little siblings who love to play with my hair it feels so good when your relaxing while someone is brushing your hair it makes you want to fall asleep its like a head massage.

When my sister and I were little my mom would get us to play with her hair by calling it "Beauty Shop". We'd always ask her if we could play beauty shop. We thought it was just fun to style her hair, but she just enjoyed getting her hair brushed. She thought it was relaxing. She also got us to put lotion on her legs when we were younger. We liked how "goopy" lotion was, so my mom was like, why don't you just rub it on my legs so you don't waste it. So while we were having fun my mom was also having us serve her own purpose! lol

This is why I always went to the hairdresser after work, it would relax me so much that I had energy to finish the day. I would have done it every day if I could afford it, but just once a month was all I could pay for.

It's the greatest feeling, I could sit there all day and have someone brush, braid or comb my hair.

Thats so sweet..its almost like you are having a head massage and its good for your health keeping you away from stress and strain. You have sweet gals to help their mom, so lucky and lovely to hear it! My gals are just 3 and 5 years, but they are smart at their ages to keep their things neat.

Enjoy it while you can! I love to have some one fuss with my hair or even rub my back! My kids are all growed up and I can't get any of my grandchildren to do it! So enjoy!!!

My grandma would let my cousin and I "do" her hair, and it was fun. I never thought of it as being a way that the girls could learn some good grooming techniques.

It sounds like they've been having a lot of fun. Maybe, one of them will have a salon when she gets older (play is, after all, a way of learning and of rehearsing potential roles). Hopefully, I will have daughters one day and that they will enjoy painting (my) nails and doing (my) hair. The benefits of having daughters...

I think it is great to have someone aat your hair as well. There is nothing more relaxing than being at the salon and getting your hair washed. AHHHH!!! In fact, I have an app't tomorrow morning for a cut and color. It is a lovely few hours at the salon.

Oh how fun really to do this with the girls. How both daughter and son would compete to brush mine. I do have loads of hair as well and I did not mind both of them brushing it as it was relaxing. There were times I wanted to doze off too. I do experience headaches quite a bit and more so these days. I think I will ask my boyfriend to massage and brush my hair, lol maybe this will loosen the daily tension I am experiencing. lol

There is a saying that"everything starts with from your hair".I also think it is right cause if we change a hairstyle,we could feel relaxed and start with a new style.Isn't it a whole new look?And also i have the same situation like you,lol...I have alot of hair,too.Have a nice day.
