hi, long weekend really great for every employee that wanted to rest in short time of week though salary is not good due to many holiday off,but still its good to be relax sometimes to refresh our mind and body from work,and if i have a long weekend i normally go to my parents house and spend my time together with my nieces and nephew and of course a beauty rest for my self.

It's my off from work today! I didn't expect it yesterday so I grab my time to go outside for a short time diner with colleagues and also sent money for my family in the Philippines, while eating I receive a call from office to take off today because the occupancy of the hotel very low due to the incoming EID Holiday. Although, we are granted to take of for 4days (Saudi Law) but I am not lucky to be among given instead it will charge to my overtime pay. My manager were on vacation and I am the one trusted to run the operation. I am very tired but I don't have a choice. Today I spent all my time on bed. I sleep from 6am to 7pm. Nice feeling to gain more energy from sleeping whole day long.

Long weekends are good. This means more bonding time with the family. The problem is when you're stuck at home due to bad weather. Still, the time spent with the family is more than enough. I could take advantage of the cold weather to cuddle more closely to my wife and wake up very very late in the morning. It's almost 12 noon and I have not yet seen any sunlight yet.

Yeah, like you i am looking forward to this long weekend of ours. In fact , last Monday i told my husband that i will be going home to our hometown an be there from today, until the 30th. And he said that's a long time. But he knows it's my time to bond with my friend from Canada who arrives for our town fiesta on the 29 & 30th, so he can't do anything. He is surly, because he cannot come. Their job requires the more that they should be present on holidays. Our daughter is in Manila studying too, so she definetly can't come too. Anyway, I hope you will have a nice time with your kids! They will surely love the beach and your cooking!

I like having long weekends, as they allow me to do things that I don't have the time to do during the week when I am working. Because I work from home, I'm lucky in that I can take long weekends whenever I like, providing that I am able to get all of the work done that I have to do within the four day that I would actually be working. It's too tempting to take a long weekend when the weather is nice, but I know that I'll always make up for it later on in the month when the weather isn't all that great, so that's alright really.

I love weekends. I feel relaced and happy after that, like you. Last year I went to Spain for my summer vacation and it was wonderful- beach, sun and water - fascinating :) I am from Bulgaria, but I live in Scotland now. Love to go on vacations with friends especially and hit the clubs and rest during the day - sunbathing or going to the spa would be wonderful. How about you? Happy Mylooting ;)

Same here im a working mom too. Having this kind of occassions i feel relieve and unwind. This time i spend with my son and do some general cleaning at home. but staying home with kids are also spending more hehehe coz kids ask many things to buy like food and toy hehehe.. but love it coz i feel like stress free from work hehehehe

Yes, long weekends are heaven sent! Unfortunately, I am currently out of work now and is not viable to receive any pay for these coming holidays. Oh well, I didn't timed my resignation properly. Come the long vacation, I really don't know yet what is our family's plan. Most likely I'll be having a drinking session with my buddies and then have my brother's family over in our house and also fetch my sister at the airport. We will most likely have a family gathering or outing elsewhere, I just don't know where yet. Also, for the weekend I'll be having time to polish my sporting hobby and also some good time to sleep and rest.

I spend y weekend with my family and friends..we normally go out for dinner and spend time with eachout which we can't do in our working days.

who wouldn't love it? (^_^) Im gonna spend it with friends and my sister in dumaguete. Tomorrow will be the Foundation day Silliman Univeristy, so it would be fun. Plus my friend from Manila will be coming after 3 years time finally I am gonna see her again. good thing our friend from Dumaguete will be accomodating us for a place. she is such a heaven-sent. As there is no special things to do because i had rest for only one day which is sunday. Which i use this day for just long sleep and good relaxment without thinking about work pleasures. If i had long weekend holidays i always prefer to go for my grandfather's living place. There i had some relations which i like to visit once in a year but if i get a long holiday i wil be happy to visit and spend those holidays there.
