Although in this moment our fruit trees are only starting to bloom (I live in South America), I canĀ“t wait for the summer fruit. I understand your lve of peaches. In my country there are several types of peaches as we export them. I like the ones that are very juicy and sweet. YUMMY!!!

Some of the peach varieties we have hre cannot be experted as they aree toosoft and they spoil easily. It happens the same with our grapes. Thaks to that, we get t eat the best ones.

Hey thanks for the share. I didn't know there were several types of peaches Anyway thanks to you I might as well go look for varieties
I like them sweet ones too. The other kind I have had were a bit raw and hard (not so hard though) but not so juicy like them ripe ones, they were delicious nevertheless

I do love grapes myself but not a very big watermelon water. My sis loves it though. And I used to resent bananas as a kid but like you I have started to love them as I grew.

Just exactly how I behave when my most favorite fruits are in season, haha! There are times that even take only such fruits in exchange for my meal.

I love peaches too. Though, what we have here are already canned ones, since they are not indigenous in our country.
What we have in season now are pineapples. Ours, are the small , very yellow ones, so sweet and so juicy. I would always buy one , have them sliced in bits and eat them while i ride on those jeepneys.
I don't care if others would salivate seeing me eat them.

Thatgirl, it's really more convenient to buy pineapples in cans, but they are already expensive. Plus , the fact that they are canned i guess, preservatives were added to them.
As to the canned peaches, i get to eat them only when we make fruit salads for occasions.

Gavrilovich, I think those Dole pineapples have their plantation in Bukidnon. So that's why they are cheap. But yours maybe the Hawaiin type, which are indeed so juicy and sweet.
Ours are the "formosa" type, dark yellow, small , and juicy. Yet they are so sweet. A pared one only costs PhP15-20 only.
How about your pineapple there?

I have three large plum trees behind the house and I can't seem to use them up fast enough. I have made plum jam, plum bread, dried plums, plum crisp, eaten them raw, etc.. And there are still a lot more on the trees. I've been picking a huge mixing bowl full twice a week for the last 6 weeks. I am looking for more recipes so the plums don't go to waste but I am still not getting them all before they fall on the ground. I love plums but I can't keep up with the trees on making foods with them.

Wow I would love to be in your shoes just about now
You get free fruits, that's so cool!! All your hard work for nourishing the tree is being paid back it seems
Mom has a vegetable garden in the front and the backyard. Sometimes there's too many green chillies and green onions we don't know what to do to!! Some of them just rot and go to waste

Hi thatgirl3, here, the tropical reason where the weather is scorching all the time and peach can't grow well. If we are lucky may be we could get some imported ones from the local market. It's sure that the price will be quite costly. I especially love the fresh and juicy imported blueberries. if it's affordable I would like to purchase a few boxes to entertain my appetite. Yeah, to stuff my mouth with my desired blueberries from dawn to dusk
Mangosteen and durian are my favorite local season fruits. They are available only in fruit season. Durian is especially tasty with its unique and strong smell. Sadly that I can't take it all the time like blueberry for it's starchy as well as its excessive sugar. Thus, I can't eat many for my stomach would be full very soon after taking it greedily. And taking durian is not as easy and convenient like eating blueberry

I have always wanted to taste Durian but sad I've never been able to find one I have heard a lot about it. I don't even know if we get some here. And yes those imported fruits are nasty expensive. I love mangoes but since most of the mangoes here are imported, they are expensive. Sad coz I really like the taste of it

Fredricksburg is the local peach capital in our area, but because I had an allergic reaction once, and a peach was about all I ate, I have been off of peaches for some time - don't really know what's in season around here, not much I suspect we've had such a hot summer...

Hi, thatgirl13. I love peaches too. This summer, Mm husband bought me a pack of peaches in a foam wrap, and I waited too late to eat them. So, the peaches ended up rotting and I had to toss most of them out. A few of them were eatable, but the rest was spoiled. I love peaches and I know the next time that I have any, I will make sure that I eat them right away, with no waiting! We have many fruits that have grown where we live at. My favorite kind of fruit to eat is red and black plums.

Aww i'm sorry your peaches went bad. I think peaches go bad quick though. Dad had bought two boxes of peaches and after the first box had finished, the second one was trying to rot. So we quickly ate them hehe! I love peaches. I never knew they tasted this good, I mean I don't remember them being this delicious ever LOL or I forgot haha!
I like plums too, the red ones :)
Thanks a lot for the response and I hope you have a wonderful weekend

I like peaches too but I preferred the one in cans.I don't know maybe because I have to peel it first before I can eat them while in can I use pork and it's done.Yes, there are disadvantages of eating fresh from canned fruit especially the one with sugar added to it.We have also our local version of peaches but the taste differ a bit.

I am fine with them even if they aren't peeled hehe!! It tastes a bit funnier but I am ok with it. Anyway yes I think the canned ones and the fresh ones are different, even in taste. I don't really know coz i haven'tt tasted the canned peaches!

The canned peaches have different taste. The sweeter one I preferred, with syrup added to it that makes it sweeter. The other I think is natural with no added sweetener.Fresh ones are not so sweet though that is why I prefer the canned peaches.

Don't worry, You'll eventually grow out of peaches. I used to love apples too. It came to a point that I only apples for an entire week. And my mom, the loving person as she is, just brought me apple after apple from the market place. But after a week of eating JUST apples, my body rejected it and I had to stop myself from spitting it out.
Now I'm into grapes but they're very expensive so I rarely buy them. I can finish up a kilo in less than an hour.

Anyway grapes are good but I can't eat a lot of them and i never liked apples since i was a kid.

Hi thatgirl!
Don't eat too much or you might get a stomach ache.
Santol is in season right now. I don't know if you are familiar with this fruit but it's yellow with a thick skin and I can't really think of a similar fruit right now but it's the seeds that you eat. Well, not really eat because you just suck the seed for the juice in it's outer covering and then threw the seeds after. Some people swallow the seeds especially if it's really small or thin. A lot of people would peel out the skin of the fruit so that they can eat the inner layer of the skin. It is usually sprinkled with salt because the fruit is so sour.
I'm not eating much of it because I'm not into sour fruits right now. But when I was a kid, I used to love it. And I like eating the inner layer of the skin.

Hi Thatgirl
Hope you are resting from all the peach eating. I actually cannot eat peaches, something about the texture and furry feeling they give me, I can't take. I am not really one to eat too many fruits but when I do it is usually pineapples, coconut and or watermelons. Outside of those I don't really like any others.
The one ultimate one I can't get enough of is pineapples, that one I can eat constantly.

@hardworkinggurl: Hehe actually that is what I'm doing everyday, eating and resting. God I'm scared I might gain some weight
And I think I can relate to what you're saying. I have a strange feeling towards mushrooms too. I don't know why but I can't stand the squishy and funny feeling in my mouth when I chew them mushrooms
I like pineapples, but coconut, not so much.
@reallysuny: I love strawberries too!! My favourite fruit in the whole wide world
