Texas Gov Rick Perry bills Homeland Security for $349 million

Perry thinks Homeland Security is not doing enough to keep the southern border closed to illegal immigrants. He says Texas is spending too much money incarcerating illegal immigrants when they should have been prevented from entering the US by more troops. I say good luck with that! Who gets the bill? Can't you just picture someone opening the envelope and laughing? And Perry has said there does not need to be a physical fence between the borders. I've always thought it was past the day of having open borders. If we are having so much trouble with drug traffic and illegals committing crimes, why are they having a problem with this? You either close the borders, or have a problem. You think anyone will pay the bill? or will it go in file 13?

We need our troops on our borders more than we need them in the middle east.Illegals are the terrorists that we need to worry about. They're invading our country and killing our economy. Our government is paying more than $300 billion a year taking care of all the illegals that are on welfare,in prison,in our schools and in our hospitals. I have a news flash for people that are against troops on the border. We,the lowly taxpayer are already paying for illegals.Instead of keeping them out,we're paying to take care of them. What part of illegal do you not understand?

Well said. It is so irritating, in this time of economic difficulty, to know we are paying for them to get FREE health care, when I pay a lot for my insurance, and they are not paying into the social security system.

I do not think they will pay it, but I think he did it to get the attention. He would like people to understand and get some help.

I am sure no one will pay the bill, but I can feature other states following suit. It is going to get some people talking and maybe some people thinking. Might be motivation for solving the problem.

If we are lucky, the bill is so going in the round circluar file. I am not sure that I want to see more troops at the border. Heck, I so do not want to see more troops at the border. Sure, as God makes little green apples, some innocent person would get shot. I wonder who would get the bill for that one. And in case, you don't know---it is you and I, the lowly tax payers, who are ultimately going to pay this bill.
