At the middle of last night, a thief came in to my early colleague's bedroom, there are four girls were sleeping there, but no one had do any reaction. also for their company guard,(the four girl live in their company dormitory, they are many guard on duty in that night), in their bedroom, their is no air condition, just two little fan were suspend from the ceiling, as the weather is terrible hot, thus, before sleeping, their prefer to let the window opened, what's a pity, two mobilephone of two girls were stolen, both mobilephone were just bought nearly two month ago, today morning, when they awake, all of them feel not good, three girls feel dizzy, and the other girl feel sick. it seems the thief comeing with medicine.
it's horrible story, but it's real.
have it happened to you ? who will pay the bill, the company, the guard, or both two girl ? have a nice day!

It seems the university should have insurance for this and pay it but also the phones were new and under insurance if anything happened to them so that should cover the phones too. This has happened on school grounds and they are responsible for the break-in.

Oh sorry, I forgot to answer your question.
No, this has not happened to me but to someone I know it did.

I've never had anyone invade my place of residence with the intent to rob me. I don't think that the guard would be responsible for the bill for the two cell phones that were stolen, although the comp an y might fire him for neglect of duty. If the company is kind hearted, the girl's cell phones might be replaced, but I expect that replacement will fall on the girls because they failed to buy insurance on them.

It is not something that has happened to me I am thankful to say, but we have insurance here so should anything be stolen which would help financially but not emotionally of course, it is an awful thing to experience. In the case you stated I would imagine that the company would have some kind of insurance too and may be able to cover the loss of mobile phones and any medical treatment needed; I hope so anyway...
