I went to the library for the first time in months upon months (yes, I actually paid off my library card fines!!) and I went a little crazy...I rented 5 books. FIVE! They are all due on September 18th. I am about 20 pages into the first one. This seems to happen to me a lot. I tend to overestimate what I'm going to be able to have time to read. Hmmph. Here are the books I got out: -A Lisa Gardner book (forget the title!) -"My Booky Wook" Russell Brand -Eric Clapton autobiography -"Losing It" Valerie Bertinelli -"I hope they serve beer in h*ll" Tucker Max Do you go a little crazy the few times you go to the library, too?

Going to the library is wonderful. It's a great place to be and best of all it doesn't cost anything. Local libraries are awesome.

It is easy to do this. I know that I am a really Slow reader though so I would be lucky to get thru 2 if that. I do like reading but lately do most of my reading online. In time I want to get one of the readers like from Amazon or something. I do hope that you were able to finish some of these before the due date or renew them. (I work with someone though who could read at least 3 or 4 of these in that time for sure. So could my Aunt.)

It's a good thing now that books now have e-book version as we can read them electronically using E-readers like Sony Reader, Kindle or the iPad although there's no substitute to the feel of holding a book.

There was a time that I did a lot of reading. When I was still a student, I even asked my classmates to borrow in my behalf using their library card since we gave limitations for the number of books that we can borrow. I usually do this during weekends so I can spend the whole weekend all the books. Well, I have not read any book now considering tgat I am quite busy with my work. I do some research but mostly I do it online instead of going to the library.

Reading in the library is such a great enjoyment for us.I have tried to read two books a day.It is such a good experience and i feel so good after reading these two books.I suppose even though it is hard to finish them, you would definitely feel a sense of fulfilment after reading five books.lol, books could be our friend and increase our knowledge, isn't it? lol

Hi, I used to read a lot when I was in highschool; books like Harry potter and Micheal Crighton would be read in 3-4 days. While reading, even if someone calls me, I wouldnt hear, I engrossed in the book. But now, I dont read much; that interest has gone.

Yep... I do that. I always get more books than I have time to read. Thank heavens we can renew them online here, otherwise, I'd be paying late fees a lot!

ehmm..., i will be able to do it if i have nothing else to do... but i have a full time job and other household chores to do plus other commitments... so it is a little bit hard for me to be able to read 5 books in 18 days... also, it depends on how thick is the book and how easy it is to be read... i also tend to borrow more books than i can read when i go to the library... take care and have a nice day...

I haven't been back to the library since getting a Kindle for christmas last Year..and I only got around to reading a detective Novel gift from Christmas in the last week! My problem with borrowing library books isn't being unable to read them in that sort of a timeframe...it's being prepared to go back to return them when the due date comes around! At least they've now got an online renewal service available I could use..

I visited Yatton Library today on my way up to Clevedon. I borrowed two travel books, two gardening books and a Spanish language set for learners. I took back my library books that were due on September 3rd. I know that it is easy to get fines from not taking the books back by their due date. I love to go to a different library than the one that is most local to me. One rainy day I went to three different libraries and it was a very enjoyable day.

I go through 6 to 8 books a week from the library. I am a very fast reader but I don't always read everything I bring back from the library.

I try and really only plan to read one book at a time myself at any time. There is a temptation to get more but more often than not, I figure out a way to curb my attempts to really grab onto those books. In my best interests naturally. There are a lot of times where I tend to rush through one book to get to the next if I have two right there and I don't get the full experience with one of those books. Although there can be many good choices out there for sure. However, there are times where I really have to slap my hand. One book at a time, I get involved, find another one, get involved with that. Of course its been a bit since I've been at the library but hopefully I'll be able to make a trip. As I'm running low on fresh reading material from gifts that I received.

I do carried away when it comes to books. Due to hungry for knowledge i found that so many titles are so delicious to read, that is when i will take as many books as i can like i will read it all. I have alot of books as collections that i can even setup my own library and some i have not even read it at all.

Wow!! That is really crazy. But I like the idea of reading of a lot of books. Now, I sometimes and barely touch a book. I wanna go back reading books. It seems right now my comprehension and vocabulary are getting dull already. I miss reading, right not just cant find time to read. I nee motivation in reading.

I did too, back when I found a series I really liked and I'd get out anywhere from 2-9 books depending on if they had what I wanted..We have 21 days, but if I ran out of time, unless someone else has the book on hold, I can renew it for another 21 days..Are you able to do that? Then you have more time and you won't get charged a fee..

I've checked out five books before for roughly the same amount of time... but I finish them and usually with a week to spare. I'm just a fast reader. lol I don't think I've ever overestimated what I could read during the amount of time that I have stuff, I tend to check out what I can read and if I finish early then I just come back and swap out stuff early. Good luck! I bet you can finish those books before your time is up.

I always go crazy in the library - but then whenever I visit the library it's because I have plenty of time to read. If you've got the time, you can certainly read 5 books in 18 days. Since Monday I've read three, so it can be done as long as a) you have some free time, b) you're in the mood to read and c) they're good books! There's nothing worse than being excited by the blurb only to be disappointed by the book itself. Good luck with them, and remember you can always renew some if you need to.

Yes I enjoy reading book a lot. And I can remember how I was able to read a 300 pages book in just 2 days. When the book subjects interests me, I can read it in no time. I don't know the volume of those book you rented. But as you have chosen those book, that means you have interests on those books. So it will not be a hard task to finish those books in 18 day
