How often do you pray to God?

Prayer is rich when it is simple and spontaneous. We don't need a prayer book to be able to pray. God listens every time we call Him and reach unto Him. In this world where there is chaos, injustice, killings and other problems. How often do you pray to God? Is it just when you need something or everyday?Please share. Thanks!

Hi meticulo 
Well, I do not do any traditional Prayers. Neither I visit any Temples(as I find these are places where a lot of corruption breeds and also a couple of orthodox Temples and schools preach the wrong things).
But I do believe in God.
I always believe that the right prayer to God is to do my own thing in the best possible way I can, try to help others within my capacities, and lead a life where I dont have the hatred towards anyone or even any expectations from anyone.
I am not sure what you would term that but as I mentioned, that is my personal belief and my personal way to reach out to Him.

Hi there thesids! I do understand you. Yes, I understand your point. Corruption, wrong preaching and even scandals are heard every where in temples and churches of God.I understand even the leaders of churches commit sin because we are all sinners. My husband once told me that we would transfer in another religion but I told him not to because religions can't save us all. No matter what kind of religion we believe to, it can't save us but our faith in God and how we treat the people around us especially the least of our brothers and sisters. So that I agree with you, as long as we do good we can't be astray.Thanks!

I take my time to pray everyday. Before I leave the house I pray. Before I go to sleep I pray. Every time I start to travel (car, public vehicle) I pray. It is an important part of my being. It keeps me going and makes me feel safe.

Hi meticulo.. I agree with your statement.. i PRAY everyday.. Before i go to sleep.. whenever I want to.. I just pray.. When I read the bible I pray also.. I always ask for His guidance and thank HIm for all the graces He hath given.. Nice discussion you got here.. ^_^

Thanks ellebj! We are the same. I pray in the morning and before I go to sleep. I pray anytime of the day if I feel like needing God to guide me and protect me and my family. I read the bible also.I am so amazed that every time I have something to asked God about everything, He answered me in a bible verse. God really works wonders in our life. He is a living God. He listens every time we call unto Him. We should not hesitate to reach on Him. God is good all the time.

Once or twice a day, it really depends. There are times that I'm praying while walking in the street, while studying, while a public transport vehicle and more. But usually it is at the start of the day and before going to bed. We should all be thankful that we are given another day to start.

Hi godarna! That's good for you to do that. I guess we really need God to guide us throughout the day. Temptations are just over the corner ready to grab and hold us if we tend to be weak. I hope you pray when you retire to bed too. Thanking God for the blessings everyday. Thanks!
