There is this song that reminds me of my ex everytime I hear it. Sounds funny but I used to love the song but I really hate it now. I don't even want to hear that song again. Every lyrics and tune of that song reminds me of him. That song is "This I promise you" by *Nsync. I even memorized the lyrics of the Spanish version of it. How about you? Do you have a particular song that reminds you of your ex?

I have many songs, smells, sounds, sights that remind me of my ex. The situation is a little different than most, as he past away just about a month ago, moving back here for us to be together. So hold on tight to what you have. The memories you have can not be changed, but should be cherished, and not taken for granted. Life is short, and remember the things that the person did for you to help you become who you are today, no matter the relationship that you had, loving abusive uncaring, something in there has helped you become a stronger person as a whole.

I'm sorry to hear that. Every time I hear the song " Wherever you will go" by The Calling, it always reminds me of my dad. That is the last song I sang to him while playing guitar. He cried when he heard that song. I never thought it will be the last.

the song that reminds me of my x is some things never change by tim mcgraw. its about a break up but one is still in love with the other still holding on and refusing to move on. i still listen to it every day. i dont know why because i get upset when i do but i guess its just my way of remembering him and holding on another song that reminds me of him is i cross my heart by george strait the song starts out saying my love is unconditional....and thats how i feel no matter what i will love him unconditionally.

It's strange that you should ask this question because I do have a song that reminds me of someone and it was on the radio just five minutes ago. It's 'Leave Right Now' by Will Young and it always takes me back to a certain moment and it always stops me in my tracks.

That song is a very good song. I think it suits as a wedding song also. I'm glad you are happy with your married life. You probably found "Forevermore" with your husband right now.

when there's no getting over that rainbow... when all the smallest of dreams won't come true... i can take all the madness the world has to give.. but i won't last a day without you... (BUT HE DID). hahah he said he is dedicating the song to me, and well he did, even wrote in on a paper but then... we broke up..(my fault) and i think he's never the same - good for him, he changed for the better... but i do remember him when i hear that song and wondered how he survived when he said he won't last a day without me.. its been 6 years... ahaha

Hi chiwasaki! There was a Spanish version of This I Promise You? Wow, it must have been a lot of effort to you when you memorized that! You must have been really inspired! The song that reminds of my ex is "You're a God" by Vertical Horizon because he dedicated it to me. Also, "Best I Ever Had" by Vertical Horizon, too, he did not dedicate it to me but there was a time when we were in the library, I was contemplating the lyrics, I was writing it in my notebook and when I wrote "Love can be so boring", he saw it and asked me "really?". We were not together yet then, and I answered him "yeah, love can be so boring". I did not know then yet that he wanted to date me. ^^

I think those songs by Vertical Horizon was released the same year with This I promise you. Yes there's a Spanish version called Yo Te Voy Amar. I memorized it when I was in high school because "we" sang it together before.

Their are plenty of songs that remeber me of my past with others and what gets me more irritated about it is that they are songs that i love.

Haha I agree with you. I love those songs but somehow, I'm quite irritated when I hear them. Probably because it reminds me of my ex and I don't want to remember him haha .

It usually is that way but over the years we forget or just have a minor memory and we can listen to our favourite songs without thingking about those kind of things.

What is a bunga song and ungu band. I checked ungu, it is band in Jakarta, Indonesia but I'm not sure if that is what you are referring to. Anyway it seems like most of us don't like the songs that reminds us of our ex haha.

Yes I have such song and I don't listen it often because I don't like memories. This song is by Evanescence and the title is " my immortal". The song is beautiful and because of that I don't want to associate it with my ex.

That is actually a good song. I feel like that song is so deep that it will touch your soul. That song reminds me of my crush when I was in college. He used to sing that song with a band and he's really good at it.

I heard a song one day that is called what do you want from me. It pretty much described us and our relationship, even after we broke up. We still are friends and although I am over us being together. I still wonder what on earth it is he wants from me.

Good thing that you are still friends. My ex and I are no longer friends. We used to be Facebook friends but I guess it is better not to have any communication with him in all forms. Haha

Yes. I forgot the name of the song, but when it comes on, it reminds me of him. It was not a song to be proud of though. I was missing him back then.

There are songs that really reminds us of our past. I really tried not to think of it but I really can't help but to remember if that song is played. Even my class mates back in high school will be reminded of us if they hear that song.

I hate to admit but every time I hear the song "IF YOU'RE NOT THE ONE" by Daniel Bedingfield. I first heard the song when we spent the night together and I woke up in the middle of the night and I heard that song, and I saw him looking at me. It was very romantic, and when I heard the song, it was like I always remember him our first night together.

Oh, when my ex broke up with me I was really, really hurt at first because I really did love him. The first song that really struck a cord with me about him was "You Oughtta Know" by Alanis Morissette. However, as time went on I wasn't quite as mad at him, but I will admit that I still think about him when I hear that song. The next song that really struck home with me was "Hands Clean" again by Alanis because of the fact that he was several years younger than me.
