My dream house

Vietnam

If I could buy a house, I'll choose one has many windows and a garden. I always like natural and airy. I wish I can have a small garden where I can plant some trees and drying clothes on sunlight. It's maybe difficult to have that house in this city. Because there are too much people here. Place to living is too little. Almost house in this city is not have windows, they only have one or two doors. How about you? How is your dream house?

I have a dream house too. I don't really care if the house is big, two stored would be perfect. And i would love it a lot if it were beside a beach But that might be too expensive. I am fine if it's near some lake or river too. Aww my dream. Hope I turn this into reality someday

@shskumbla: A house with a garden is great! I always love it! @thatgirls13: A house near a river is good. But you know, all house which are near river bank in my city are used to sell goods or they are rent to become restaurant or shops. It's seem that people like to go to river bank for entertainment and eating. So, a house near a river is not for living

Yes I love houses with big garden. Our old home had a big garden and also a big back yard. I used to love it a lot but sad we moved away. I love being around nature where there is peace and quiet.

part of my garden - My garden is somewhat weedy, but it has been done ll by myself. This is a picture of part of it in Spring, with the apricot tree in front.
My dream house is what I have. My husband and I made it with much economic pains after we had to sell almost everything when he got ill. We bough the lot where it was still in the middle of nowhere, and my parents and brother bought the adjacent lots for them so that my husband could start over with something as a work (he built houses). Now the city grew and we live in the middle of a nice as rather expensive neighborhood, but our lots are bigger than the ones nearby. I haver the smaller lot (in regards of my family) but I still have an apricot tree, a small vegetable grarden, a terrace and a built in barbecue.

Hello, marguicha! I understand your point of well very good. A house built like that with both effort and a lot of love surely is the ideal home. I'm just sorry you too didn't get to share it more years together because of your husband's early departure. He left you though a priceless gift of his life by building that home and that makes it,in my eyes, one of the most beautiful houses ever built :) Your garden also looks very cozy and comfortable in a simple manner and i like it a lot. Lots of people don't understand that for a garden to be beautiful it doesn't need hundreds of trees and shrubs or ceramic vases, etc. Happy posting and good luck with your vegetable crop this year :)

I live in a big city, the capital, with several millions of inhabitants. There is no such a garden with hundreds of trees in the city. You would have to be rich and live out and probably not need to work. I could have what you say if I sold this house and bought a lot in the country. I´d have a bigger house also. But I live minutes away in car from my daughters and grandchildren, I have lots of friends who live near enough to visit me and those are my trees and that is my human garden . I live alone. What would I do with a park? I have a beautiful park 3 blocks away drom my house, 1 block away from one of the biggest supermarkets in the city., a small mall nearby and a farmer´s market twice a week all year around.

@Marguicha : you're very happy because you have had an own house with a garden. It's difficult to buy a house here because house is very expensive. Besides, there are too people and land is little. So, almost house in this city don't have garden.

I already have my dream house which was possible only because we gave up the Metro and chose to live in a semi rural town. This house was designed by me which is surrounded by a landscaped garden. It is a constant source of joy to us.

Hello, tkonlinevn ! It's funny you started this discussion because i've been thinking lately a lot on this subject. Partially because i realized that , even though i'm an architect I never thought of how i'd like my own house to look like. Yes, this means i wouldn't buy a house, i'd build one buy my own project :D The house itself i think wouldn't be more than 70 sqm , the surface of the groundfloor i mean, and with 1 story, preferably a large open space mansard-roof that would serve as my bedroom and office. It would have big windows in the roof for natural lighting and a large balcony with a few plants. That's about all for the house. What I'm interested in more is the garden. I want a small , shady place for reading and a swimming pool! Might sound expensive, but it's what i always wanted, ever since i was a little kid. I love swimming and I never get to practice it too much. That about sums it up when it comes to my ideal house :)

Thank you for the appreciation :) For me it will be the most beautiful place. It will take a while though till it's going to be built. As for your house and garden , if you ever need help with the projects, let me know. It would be really fun and challenging to make a project for another country!

My dreamhoude is somthing that shouldn't be too big. I don't need a 100 Yard garden with a pool in it. Medium sized is all i care about. four to five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big garage, cellar, balconies, Medium sized garden with a shed. What is a must have is a pond where i can keep fish in.

My dream house would be located over a hill or any elevated part. It should have plenty of natural light and fresh circulating air. I want it to be eco-friendly as possible with cisterns for water recycling and solar panels. Going green would be expensive but I think it is worth it.

When I was younger the house I am in was my dream home. It is almost an acre of property and the drive is 175 feet long. It is in the heart of a big suburb, so everything is close, but it sits so far back, it is still private. At that time I wanted a pool, so I needed a lot of land. Now I can no longer use the pool, and have to have a service to tend the land. I also didn't think about the driveway in the snow. I can't make any appointments in the winter because I don't know if I will be able to get out of the drive. So it is not my dream home any longer.

I couldn't get much smaller. There are only 4 rooms and a bath! Plus moving is such a pain, I avoid that as much as possible.

If I were to choose the house I want to live, it would be in a place where there is lots of trees and everything I see outside the window are mostly green. I also am a nature lover kind of person and also places full of trees are usually less polluted places. The house should have a veranda or a terrace on it where I can stay and see the beautiful surroundings. If you want to live in a place where you can see trees, you will really have to look for a place away from the city.

im really interested in ur topic.. personally speaking, my dream house is near the sea,cuz im living in the inland which is far away from the water. i love the sea, the sunshine. im always dreaming to walk along the sea, leaving my footprint on the beach,,taking my husbands hands..lying on bed, i can smell the freshness of the seawind,, haha its not difficult,, i dont care weather the house is big or not,but at least it should be comfortable with big bright windows, from which i can see the scenery outside with a cup of tea to drink ...yeah perhaps its not romantic or attractive,,but i sort of love this kinda of atmosphere in my house, comfortable beds and chairs for me to sit, tranquil peaceful feeling at home...mmmmm im satisfied with that

Hi my friend, The house which is near sea is well to relax. But you know, the air will be very dry. My friend's house is near the sea. She must sweeping frequently in day because there are many sand in wind. If you will buy a house near sea, I think that all windows should be closed with big glass. You can see the sea from your windows without worrying about the sand and wind!

Our dream house is a house with a big garden and a pool. It will have three floors. There will also be a big living room and a number of rooms for our kids and guests. We will have our own library and a movie theatre. We want the house to be overlooking the sea or a beautiful scenery of the Bosphorus Bridge... Its a plan in process...

I believe that you'll build your dream house soon. But does it seem so far from city center? Where do you work? At present, I work at the city center. I can't live too far where I work. So, I have plan to save more money to buy a flat which is near city center.

My dreamhouse ... I don't dream with the house itself, but with the home :) I dream with a house, no matter if it is modest, I only ask the necessary stuff; but I want to be with a man I really love more than any other person in the world. that's my dream, a home rather than a big sumptuous house. About the house, I would like it to be a place I could feel safe in, a place I can breath purer air, and a place my husband and I can bring up a child. I would never live in a big city, not even in a small one.

If you're living in countryside, you can live in a big house. But if you're in a crowed city, you must live in a small one, except that you have too much money. I think that home need a house to protect it. So, a dream house is logical

Flowers in the garden - A garden makes a beautiful home.
Well your dream house I think is the dream of many. Who would want to live in a suffocated place. Indeed a house with a garden would be really cool. The garden must have ornamental plants, with flowers of different varieties and also fruit bearing trees. I can't live in a house without windows. Natural ventilation is always the best so I will always choose a place with lots of trees so that the cool air could pass through the windows of my house.
