If your office block access to Facebook??
many offices felt that the performance of their employees are distracted because many employees simply spend their time with facebook
many employees prefer the mengudapte their status rather than doing work
What do you do if your office is blocking access to Facebook??

Hi adhyz: Being honest I have to say that i love all the things you can do on facebook but at the same time I know we can lose lots of time on this social network so if they block it I'd understand why they have done this and I just accept it so I ignore the urge of opening my FB account and I won't do it until I'll be home in my free time.

Offices should block facebook as well as many other sites which doesn't do much to boost staff productivities. Most of us here are staff, workers, that's why we have the time to log into facebook, yet be paid monthly. However if u put yourself in the shoes of a boss, how would u like your staff to be putting more effort in facebook, than at work? There's a reason why they are boss and we are not.

My former job wouldn't allow it due to security issues, breach of software protocols an what not. I couldn't believe how many temps were let go due to the fact they had to check it on work time, unfortunately this included their cellphones too. Many hackers mess it up for all of us.

I don't work at office but I can teach you one trick.
When ever you can't open a site or it is blocked, just add "s" in front of "http".
It will look like "https//".
It works for many sites and internet connections. Just try it out.

Well, my office blocked the access to Facebook long ago, which we are already used to it. I understand that I go to work and get paid rather than 'playing' Facebook personally. So I don't really bother much.
After work, I have my private time to do whatever I want.:-)

If my company blocks facebook, I wouldn't be sad, I can open it when I get home. also, even if I am logged in my facebook account, it doesn't mean I am always online and checking what's new, I just left it online in case my bf would message me. That's just the use of my facebook. If we can't access it in the office, I can always use my phone to chat with my bf.

hi,
actually they blocked it but when at 12 noon to 1 pm they allow us to surf Facebook,i think because the company give us a relaxing time for our mind by surfing to Facebook for an hour.and i think having an access in this social network is not bad because its limited.

I worked in a company where Facebook and other social networking sites are blocked. In fact, it's the corporate IT who has been setting the policy on it. I guess the company has its reason behind it so I respect them. So what I normally do is that if I've been notified by the networking site for any updates/requests, I just accessed it at home. I got used to it and I guess my colleagues also.

In my workplace, we are free to do anything online as long as during the working hours, we perform what we are supposed to do. I believe that most business establishments and institutions, they are blocking facebook or some other sites for the good of the company. There are lots of employees who are stealing time because of this facebook thing. If I'm the owner of the business, I would also be implementing the blocking of social networking sites which distract the workers. Also, I may give a memorandum about this if I'll not block facebook entirely in the business premises. It's no problem when my boss blocks facebook. I would appreciate that anyway.

I used to work in a call center before, and we were not allowed to log on to Facebook or any other social networks for that matter because it really distracts us from performing well and focusing on our job tasks. Although it used to annoy me, i must admit that it is a good decision the company made.
