No a rant exactly as I don't need to break any more rules, but since I was the cause for all my good friends to lose earnings through my stupid error and lost discussion, I went whole circle as I have been her almost five years, now doubt myself, thought of just quitting then remembered what my mom used to say quitters never win, winners never quit so here I am back up on my feet, and starting over. Most of this is just an apology to all who lost earnings.your take, maybe I should quit but I need my earnings.

YES!!! Now this is the Hatley we all have come to know so well and love. What did you mean you were planning on quitting. HA! We will not allow you to do this, we love you Mrs. Hatley, we would never want to see you sad let alone leave.
Don't forget when you told me about your past struggles and this should continually remind you that nothing will stop Hatley again.
I am sure it was just the moment of what was happening and now back to business, and or I mean back to having fun with your friends.
Don't worry about my having lost anything my dear hatley, I am not here for the earnings. I see them as a bonus for having fun amongst friends and or helping members. I am thankful to have a great deal of free time so I choose to spend it here with you and the many wonderful myLot members! Carry on! lol

hi HWg oh I soon got over it but was embarrassed at how in the wrong I was as I commented back to this angry responder who told me how awful I was in a very insulting way I lost my cool , flamed her like she flamed me, and of course the discussion was deleted for a flaming war.Now I know this certain person dislikes me so will not comment to her responses at all.

Respond at your own risk! That is what we expect from other mylotters. And being here for many years does not give us any special privilege. No special immunity accorded to seniors as ignorant of mylot laws excuses no one. Earning and learning are the reasons why we remain united in mylot and quitting should never cross our minds when discussions get deleted. It is but part of mylot challenges.

hi zandi yes of course but still does these excuse being rude and insulting to some one.and I did not think I ever assumed any special privileges because i have been here for years, so I dont quite understand you. look I am not complaining because I had my discussion deleted as I was in the wrong, yes I admit I lost
my cool and flamed back when I should have just reported her
again and not said a word. I was not ignorant of any thing'
and why are you judging me, did you see my discussion? did
you read it before you condemn me for asking any special favors., I have never done that and you know it. I have prided myself on reading the information and keeping the rules but I am a human being and human beings sometimes do err. I claim no privileges
at all. I do not want any. but why are you judging me at all as you do not really know me.

We never stop learning, do we?
The Holy Scriptures gives us good advice if someone insults us - to not give the same kind of answer back..
I like this one:
"17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone."
Romans 12 (New Living Translation)
Take care my friend!

hi buenavis yes I think I am a lot wiser now because I have to learn to keep my temper when insulted and not just insult back. I was
wrong and now I will learn from my error and go on to make
better discussions. I know who I am and I am not like what
that responder said about me, so I will forget that and p retend'
it did not happen.I have many frie nds here and enjoy the give and take.

I'd miss you if you quit but that is totally up to you dear. We all know the risks of responding to certain things and we do it anyway so that's on us too, not just you. I have responded to things written and thought, well this ones likely to be deleted but I'm answering my friends post anyway. So that was on me. Yes, if we take a chance and write things it's on us too. But many times I think it's a slip up and people just don't think what they are writing is a rant or they forget to add a question when writing, that's all part of it.
Then again some just need an answer to something bothering them, and we are there for them just as they would be for us.
So I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, okay?

hi moondancer and stary O h I did know better but I lost my tempe and forgot about the rules completely,it w as all my fau lt as I responed to an insulting flaming response when I should have just reported it and let mylot handle it. I did deserve what I got but still it hurt and mostly because all this person said about me was not at all true.It really was most hurtful.

I too have answered some topics while unsure if they crossed the line of a "poll"
I could have just skipped them, but they were so interesting and from people I have gotten to know.
I agree when we answer a post we take responsibility because we are all familiar or should be familiar with the rules. If we are not sure we also have a choice and take a chance ..

This is the second time in a few weeks that I thought of just quitting mylot. The first was when a discussion I started that was quite popular and had 30 plus responses with lots of conversions was deleted. The second was this weekend when many of my responses were deleted because the discussions they were under were deleted. But I guess I am still here because of the friends I have here on mylot. I am now very wary of starting discussions and even responding to discussions because it seems it is not clear cut which have broken the rules. I guess I would try to carry on as long as I can manage it. So I know how you feel and it is admirable that you have found the strength to carry on.

hi 2wicelot yes this week has been sad with five resonses deleted'
because of being on a discussion that was deleted. I think I need to reread the guidelines and rules myself as I too came a cropper.
I felt so low yesterday I wanted to quit and forget I ever saw
my lot but then I remember all the time I have put in and all my friends and decided I can do better again.

hard put at times to decide if the discussion can be deemed'a poll or not.so guess we are in the same boat too.

Hi, Hatley! I'm so sorry it hasn't been the best myLot day for you, but having had the same thing happen to me once, I can definitely feel your pain, so to speak. No, absolutely do not give up. It's just a fact of life, and these things happen! Your mom was right! I consider lessons like these in my life to be some of the most valuable. I've made mistakes at work that cost a lot of money, and I mean, a lot! While I felt awful for them, there's nothing I could do after the fact; the deed was done. However, I learned valuable lessons from it, and was also very thankful the costly mistake was made at work rather than at home. In other words, the company could afford my mistake much more than I could lol. Yes, you're exactly right - the subject line in this discussion says it all. Please do "get back up, dust yourself off..." and keep going, my friend! While you have one discussion that didn't go as planned, you have so many excellent discussions that are true thought-provokers and priceless experiences for the rest of us. This scenario happens to the best of us, so I certainly hope through this discussion you'll be encouraged to continue on earning through myLot. It's time to stop feeling bad for those who lost money on myLot for responding to the discussion because it was an honest mistake, and those who cannot get over it and hold grudges as a result aren't true friends in the first place. The same thing could just as easily happen to any one of us! Take care and happy posting, my friend!

Yeah Hatley, I really appreciate your saying, I have to get back up I'm so glad that you are energetic with your positive thinking You are not only good in writing quality discussions in quick pace you are a fast sprinter in responding posts and commenting back to responses
It's true JJ4Ever, I couldn't imagine what would happen to me as well if confronting any similar undesirable situation for sometimes we could hardly release from the pestering of the gloomy emotion then...take care and happy posting.

Your positive attitude and outlook is uplifting for sure! If I were angered by something someone else wrote to me here, I don't know if I'd be so quick to bounce back. I think I'd need a little more time to cool off, so good for you. I'm glad you're not leaving, although I knew in all truth you wouldn't anyway. I am an impulsive person, so I hope that someday if I must experience similar circumstances that I will have the decency and wisdom to handle it as you have. Thank you for providing such a great example for us.

Hello Mrs Hatley,
I missed your last discussions, so I lost nothing... from your discussion, but deletions happen everyday and I don't worry about a response or a comment deleted. I began with a discussion which is already deleted today, and it did not affected my mood.
It is strange but I was writing to a friend before you began this discussion that all these deletions could affect new members, but I was far to believe that they could affect the most senior member at myLot. It would be too sad if you were quitting for a little "accident".

no need to apologize Miss Hatley, not so sure though if I was a victim of that discussion you were referring to. Yes "quitters never win and winners never quit" I like that too, it was the motto of one of the most popular sweepstakes ticket outlets here before the computerized lotto took over. Don't quit , it's not only you who need to earn but most of us, go go go

hi louievill I guess we all make mistakes because we are human beans as the little kid daid. so I goofed so I can start over. I also need my earnings as they help me pay for my cable internet bill, one person here sniped at me once that Gold Crest gave me free internet which was so not true. Time Warner costs me forty dollars a month so if I can make at least half of that here I can m ylot and afford to be here.

Quit be damned or I'll dust you off. We all make mistakes and we need Hatley so end of silly talk Please. We can all help one another by rating our discussions and sadly I know a lot of people just simply don't bother. I have and will always rate all my responses with a + and for the ones that are not worthy I just do nothing, skip to the next one. Anyway hope all the dust is gone my dear, have a great week and Take Care.

Im sure they will forgive you especially seeing as you have been here for such a long time..
