When I tend to eat lots of pork, they say don't eat too much of that 'coz it's bad for the health, but I was thinking fish can equally do the same risk of killing me considering the pollution we now have, we could be poisoned by lead too with eating fish. Same too with vegetables grown with inorganic fertilizers...so we would switch to an organic diet but then it's more expensive and you'll still die if you ran out of funds. You won't get to buy food, you'll go hungry and eventually die of hyper acidity. LOL. So which one do you think is the lesser evil?

Well fish is going to be the best i believe its good for you and also doesnt let you gain weight at the same time. Just dont eat fish skin and just eat there meat and that helps you. I do not eat fish but i know its healthy for you. Fruits consist of alot of sugars and arent the best for you but they are helathier then eating all the sodium snacks out there such as chips. Now pork is also good for you but is a meat and not as healthy as fish might be but it isnt a red meat so better than any red meat out there too. Vegetables of course are good for you to and consist of alot of fibers and help you digest alot more things in your system.

I know of fruits to contain fructose sugar and I don't know if it contains glucose sugar which is what is measured to determine diabetes. I think fruits will just be fine.
May I ask why not include fish skin? I like to eat Milk Fish skin a lot.

I think that you need a good balance of all these foods to eat healthily; eating a nutritious diet that includes a wide variety of these foods also helps to keep the body healthy and the brain alert. A well balanced diet can help to improve the memory, relieve feelings of stress and make you feel happier as well as helping you to maintain a healthy weight within a healthy BMI. So by choosing a good variety of these foods that you can maintain a healthy brain as well as a healthy body.

Balance indeed, but you know what, balancing is hard. There's no alarm telling you that you've gone too far on the one side and that you have to go to the opposite side of the diet in order to get a balanced diet, and even if there is one person who can balance it all, still it's not an assurance that he's not going to be sick.

Well, if you are diet conscious, you should eat more fish and vegetables. But don't forget to eat meat. Because it's good for our body too. One should be aware of the calories that he/she should intake a day for a normal growth.

I follow a strict vegetarian diet. However, sometimes I tolerate some dairy products. I never eat any may, or any animal derivate different to dairies. I think it is a very healthy way of life. I feel better since I went vegetarian, and I think it is nice for animals not to eat them. Hope you get interested in finding what the benefits of being veggie are. You should consider going veggie too.

i think there should always be a balance in what you eat. living a healthy life includes a well balance diet. too much of those good stuff would result to bad health. i eat a lot of vegetables though since some of the vegetables are grown in our backyard and we don't usually place fertilizers on the plants knowing its bad effects. i think you should grow plants too. i also have fruits in between meals to stop my craving for sweets i am a sweet tooth so i'm trying to discipline myself with fruits its healthier than eating complex sugars for snacks.

Hi, karagala. I always believe in eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Red and lean meat also. Fish should be eaten sparingly. Pork should not be eaten so much. I always believe that vegetables and fruits are the most healthiest foods to eat. They are more natural and earth grown, without the inorganic fertilizers.

The trick is to have a balance of everything. If you can manage to eat lots of pork despite being educated of its disadvantages, I can't see how you can't manage to eat veggies and fruits with the lesser harm it can do. Actually, That's what I try to tell myself. To be honest, I am such a meat lover that I can never do away with meat.
Of course the lesser evil is fish, skinless chicken, fruits and veggies. And exercise as well, a positive outlook in life, spirituality, adequate hydration are things that need to be incorporated to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I have never heard a doctor say that eating pork meat is healthy. Most of the time, the doctor would refrain you from eating pork meat, it has no health benefits since they are rich in cholesterol. Meat such as beef and chicken is better but removing the skin of (chicken) as they are more having fats obviously.
About veggies, use veggie wash before cooking it because they have pesticides or chemical sprays so in order to be safe, just wash your veggies thoroughly. Organic veggies and foods are costly but its really beneficial. But basically, veggies are really good for our health as well as fruits. It is just up to you on how you prepare your food as long as you know how to clean it well.
About fish, they contain mercury but eating it moderately is just fine and will never be bad to health. All things if taken in excess is not good to our health. So the proper thing here is moderation and cleanliness, but still I don't suggest pork.

I think a combination of all 4 foods bring nutrition to the table. I eat alot of fruits right now because its in season. Fall and winter more vegetables are plentiful. Meat, all types of meat can be good to eat we just have to learn to cook them properly and eat the right portion.
If you keep your food sizes to eat from the food pyramid for right size portions you will not be so liable to overeat one kind of food or another,
I love to cook, and make balanced meals, While my husband would like to eat nothing but meat, I make him eat right foods however I cannot contain how much meat he eats.

they say pork is bad for the skin, if you have skin diseases (acné included) don't eat pork.
Vegetables are not all healthy, if you have trouble with your stomach/intestines there are many you should not eat (not to forget to mention all the poison/pesticides that is used on it and even if you don't use it, it's in the ground water and rain), same with fruit. Not to forget to mention that many kinds of fruit damage your teeth (apple, orange, lemon etc).
Fish should be healthy, unless you choke in a bone but man can't live on fish alone.
So if you have to pick out something go for the fruit. About 70-80% water is in it, all kinds of vitamines and plenty of sugar so you won't hunger for candies and chocolate anymore. But don't forget to eat all kinds of.

Every meal has their own significant in the diet of the person so we can't say that the particular food is good for the health.

I think when it comes to foods, you have to balance your meal to stay healthy. To become healthy, I am more prefer vegetables and fruits. Even though some foods are already mixed with chemicals to preserve for a long term period. I am sure it's lesser to have sickness when you eat vegetables and fruits because you may find different nutrients needed by our body and as I said to stay healthy balance... Unlike porks, It sounds delicious and yummy to eat but are prone to many diseases... Unless if you are planning to be fat, then porks are the best choice meals :).LOL. Don't get me wrong, my intention is good and I am not liable to cause you any damages and might regret you. Thank you.
