I used to do that but when I learned that laptops can function without using batteries,I remove it from my computer, and just use AC power for my daily works and use my batteries whenever I travel. That way you can extend the life of your battery. They also have one method to extend your battery life called reconditioning, but I'm not an expert with that.

They say that if you plug in your laptop for a long period of time, you should remove the battery. Leave it in long enough to charge up fully, then remove it unless you need to use it.

Mine too can only stand two hours when unplugged. So, I usually have it plugged when I'm usng it. I am planning to buy a new battery but it is costly, so I'm thinking twice.

Same as I am. I'm plugging in when I'm using my laptop. My friend told me that it's not good to plug in while you are using your laptop same with other devices. It will easily destroys slowly the battery. The best thing you could do just to prolong the life of your battery is that, remove your battery when you use your laptop if you plug in. If you are charging your battery, don't on your laptop.
