Do I have to open an Ebay store if I make stuff?

Does anyone know? I started on making some decoratives. Do I have to open a store on Ebay? A friend advised me to start selling a few just to see how it goes because of the store expenses. But is it mandatory?

asifbg043 Not actually, you may even sell few items without opening a complete store. selling items directly is free, but opening a store will cost u some fees. try and sell few items first before u actually open the store
