What are your feelings on freelance work? Do you have any tricks, or specific websites that you goto?
I know I have been with freelancer dot com, but have not had many jobs on there, and wondering what I am doing wrong, or if I am wasting my valuable time that I could spend it elsewhere that would be more promising.

I think that freelance work is one of the best things that you can do, because it means that you would be able to do your own work in your own time without having to comply with the rules of the office or any kind of boss or manager. I started working for myself three years ago and have never looked back since then. The great thing is that you are able to earn as much or as little as you want, because you get to choose your own hours instead of having to get up early every single morning and work until late every evening.

Well thank you very much. I will have to have a look into them tonight when i get home. Always interested in new opportunities. You never know what is out there and what could be potentially a good income. Thank-you again for letting me know. I will let you know what i think and and hopefully a good outcome comes from them :-)

Have you tried iwriter I just started last week and earned enough in 2 days to make payout. I was paid on Tuesday. What you do there is write articles then once they are approved the money goes into your account. If you make payout then you can choose to be paid once a week.

There are a variety of programs online for freelance work. One of my favorites is online writing, articles, short stories, reviews, commentaries, and so on. Agian, there are a number of sites for that. One of my favroites is "Review Stream". From time to time, I would check "odesk.com" too. It lists different opportunities including freelance work.

I've been freelancing since November 2008 and I love it. I'm only part-time due to other responsibilities but it earns well, it's interesting and I now have some really good, regular clients.
Like you, I started on the bidding sites but, like you, didn't have much luck at Freelancer. Try Elance, oDesk and Guru. They're all slightly different - I found Elance fit me best. Oh, and for tips, there are several posts on my blog with idea about bidding and so on.

I ike writing and doing some freelance stuff as well. I use associated content/yahoo contributor and you can write anything you want but must be approved by them and you can submit it through upfront payment and then you will get paid for your page views as well. I have been using this site for a while and really enjoy using it too. Its easy to use and they pay for alot of the upfront articles that alot of people submit too. You can also submit picture slideshows as well and that also gets you paid for the views they get. I use both of them and enjoy using them and then i usually get my articles out there by using twitter and that helps me out alot for my page views each month.
