Do you actually think that having multiple ear piercing's cool or not? I have 5 ear pierce and I think it denotes my love for rock music. And that when I'm still young I thought that it would be a good fashion statement. Some had it due to different reasons. I think that it depends upon a person's preference. Also, you have to be sure that you use sterilize needles and earrings so to stray away from infections etc. Your thoughts on this guys?

I like rock music, but only got my ears pierced once and had nothing but trouble with them so I've given up wearing earrings.

You're probably allergic to metal or your ears are very sensitive. Maybe even both.

People have tried to get me to pierce my ears and my thought is that I have enough holes in my head and I don't need to buy stuff to stick in my ears. I'd rather put food on the table than gold or silver in my ears. I've seen some horrible infections and people almost loosing their ears due to that. It's not just sterilize the needles, make sure you're not diabetic first. Take care.

I actually did discourage a lady from getting her ears pierced because she was diabetic... and I don't have a problem with studs, just wires, but because I'm a side sleeper I had trouble with the studs too - and I'm not one to mess with my appearance a lot just to look "pretty"

I see nothing wrong with it. I think many people get them to make a statement like you said. Or to show what they interests are or to make a fashion statement. I just have 1 but have wanted another one for some time.

I think there's nothing wrong w/ it too. Planning to have more before I got pregnant, but was thinking about it now if I should push it, haha! :)

I don't have a problem with it. The thing is with piercings that unless they really disfugure a bodily feature (like the ear lobe things...) they can always be taken out later if you don't like them. I say get all you want! It's your body - wear it the way you want!

yes correct, we can do whatever we want but we still need to take care of our body and we should not do something that would harm us. Piercings will close anyway if you do not like them anymore, just remove your earrings and it will close/heal overtime. :)

Yes, multiple ear piercing could be reflective of one's preference to rock music as well as an easy go lucky attitude. But it could also denote a strong personality, since the person is courageous enough to endure the seemingly pain one gets when her ears are pierced. However, some conservative companies don't like to employ and even have it in their code of conduct as part of good grooming , to have more than the usual one each ear piercing, for women and for men no earrings. Specially if you are in the corporate world, i think having lots of ear piercing is not allowed.

i have been pierced for two years, when i got that idea to pierce my ears is drived by intention of being beautiful in appearence. the earings can be a decoration for female, when we changed our cloths, we also want to change earings in order to match as a whole, so we also spend our money to buy a wide range of earings with different styles. as for me, i just have two holes, owing to i am a girl afraid of pains.

yeah, some just cant take too much pain. but piercings take a little time to heal (am i encouraging you now? haha) kidding aside, it really depends on the person whether or not s/he wants to have more than what s/he already has. it's a matter of self expression for me.

hi staria well if I were young again I think I would also have pierced ears as I love the look of pretty earrings and that way now I could still wear them as everyone young or old loves pretty things like jewelery and pretty earrings too.Just be sure to have your ears pierced by someone skilled in doing it and is 'very sterile and does not use anything but sterile instruments

yes agree. vanity should come only after safety :) these things could be nice, but you have to know first if you can handle them. in terms of keeping them clean and sanitizing them to heal

well, If You like it and did it, good for you! :) We all have our own likes and dislikes and that's what makes all of us unique! I envy you :) I only have one ear pierce and would want to have another one but it's not allowed in the hospital :)(I'm a nurse) We should be squeaky clean! LOL we have to be the epitome of respect! But if you have five that is so cool :)

it's funny that. if they allow one, how can they not allow more than one, and say it's on cleanliness grounds? how is the second piercing unhygienic if the first one is considered okay.

I don't agree with people having multiple ear piercings for whatever reasons they have. It's not a comfortable sight for me and i can't imagine myself having that much piercings on my ears. Ear piercings are merely accessories to me, so there's no point in needing more than one. Besides, it's weird to see guys with multiple ear piercings as i see them more like lady boys.

I don't think multiple ear piercings have anything to do with rock music at all. I love rock music, I grew up with rock music, but never pierced my ears. I think it is more of a statement, a freedom of expression. Something that you feel identifies you as a person. Personally I do not like ear piercings. Like tattoos, look at the big picture. How will affect you when you're older. Some tattoos turn to blotches as you age. Ear piercings can look bad when you're older. Is there anything wrong with it? Not at all, i thats what you want to do. But it does not have any bearing on music what so ever.

Do you pierce your own ears? I prefer the quick easy way. I really don't think I could pierce my own ears. I have multiple piercing in one ear. Both of my ear were pierced multiple times. I have one ear that has eczema and it kept getting infected. So I let the holes close on that ear. I think that actually original in its self. Best Wishes!

Yes, those piercing in the cartlidge of the ear are killer. I think it take full day or two before it stops throbing and hurting.

yeah, it takes more time to heal. you just need to be sure that you clean it everyday so not to be infected. but as soon as it heals, no problem at all :)

Hi! Nope I don't, I really dont think I would be able to do that as well. Haha! :) I had a professional do the other one. The other two I got when I was still a child and the other one, my uncle did it using a sterilized earring. The last one surely hurts, gosh!

Personally, I think any more than 2 ear piercings per ear is a bit excessive. I understand that some people have multiple body piercings--tongue, nose, navel, etc., because they think it's an expression of art. However, where does one draw a line as to how many body piercings is enough? I often wonder what will happen to these multiple piercings as the skin gets wrinkled with age?

i really love ear piercing, but i havent considered having piercings on other parts of my body. i don't like them and i think it would just disturb me on other activities having them along everyday.

At one time my one daughter had multiple piercings when she was young. Then when she applied for jobs she found that not a lot of people wanted to hire because of the image they wanted to project for their company. She got rid of her piercings, except for the normal one in each ear, and no-where else. I think it depends a lot of what type of work you want to go for later on, and whether a person cares that doors at potential jobs might be shut just because of it. I know lots of older people with multiples, but none of them work at the type of jobs where it matters. I have pierced ears, but only one on each lobe. I love music too, and have worked on lyrics with lots of local bands. But, I do not have more than the normal piercings because I'm a nurse, and I know for positive that it would not go over well with my nursing supervisor because it wouldn't be seen as professional.

yes some company might not want their employees wearing a lot of earrings, it might or maybe distract their clients or they think that colleagues might not treat u w/ respect wearing those. i think those can be eliminated during work hours and you can just resume wearing them at home or any other day apart fr work days.

I think that there's a lot of people that it looks good on. but I hardly even wear earrings myself. I'm more of a tattoo girl. you don't need to remember to put your tattoos on, or match them to what you're wearing that day.

I have seen some very pretty multiple ear piercings. Mine are only pierced twice. One of my daughters had her pierced three times. She is allergic to metals and is very sensitive to most everything..lol...we had to be very careful when she got hers done.

I used to have four hole piercings in each ear, but one kept trying to heal up after years, so I let it heal and now I only have three in each ear. For me personally, it was just because I like earrings!

I used to have another one too and it would not heal :( So after the pain, I need to let it heal unfortunately. but I think it's better that way so to avoid further infection, etc
